A retired cop friend of mine tells me that he loves to just get them going and then lets drop the "info" "about himself" that: (a) he's on parole for attempted murder, (b) second degree murder, (c) assault of a public servant with a deadly weapon with intent to cause harm, or (d) ALL of the above! He's a BIG guy with a VERY deep voice, so it makes an impression! Talk about hang-ups! lol

By the way, a GREAT way to get them to stop is to pick the name of a large city PD near you,,practice several times and when you get one of those calls - if it gets past your blocker or Do Not Call Registry - answer, fast and with authority: "[Pick a PD name] Police Emergency 911 ... please state the nature of your emergency." No one has EVER gone any further that that other to try and call back a few minutes later. When I answer the same way, they don't call back a third time!

DEFINITE scammer. They wouldn't answer when I called back. I've been harassed by another scammer - or rather my elderly mother has - and I've had to get my local PD involved, and I've reported them to the FBI's scam. Go to FBI.GOV, look in the upper right hand corner and there's a link to the "SCAM AND FRAUD" and where you can report everything.

I use Droid Blocker - after I looked up this number (never answered any calls) and found it's a spam number, I added it to my block list. Problem solved.

Same. But I called it back later. Female computer voice repeated over and over "hi, you have received a call from a marketing call center. Press 1 if you want us to put you on our do not call list". No other option. Too bad. I was going to see if anyone there would give me their credit card numbers and SS numbers.

Scammy, spammy all the way. Protect yourself. Do not answer calls like this and do not call them back. These thieves are merely trying to gain access to you and the information on your smart phone. As of 15 February 2012, any and all calls like this are illegal on their face. The only way these jokers can legitimately call you, if they even had a legitimate reason, is if you inform them IN WRITING stating they can call you, meaning you have to opt in. Also make sure you have a good bluetooth firewal protecting your phone, as well as a good overall firewall and virus/malware surveillance. Protect yourself or you will soon find yourself parted from your hard earned money.

Called my 82 year old father who thought he was speaking to a nice man (w/accent) from the bank who was going to lower his interest rate on his credit card. He gave him the credit card number after the nice man called him back 3 times .... when my father realized what had happened he told me he had made a big mistake. I called the credit card company to make sure the card was cancelled. They call to see if they can prey on someone. BEWARE!!!!!!!! I blocked my number to call to see who they were and they would not let the call go through since my call was blocked but, the call to my father was UNKNOWN.

Robo type call - wanting to "lower my credit card rate".. Scammers who keep changing their phone number - but continue to use same old technique to get your credit card number. Have reported to our State District Attorney a couple of times.

Received a "robo" call regarding my credit card and assurance that my card is ok, and that I am eligible for a low 4% interest rate, just press 1 to speak to a live operator, Now, I am in the process of filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy, so to have fun I pressed 1, and spoke to an operator, this is how our conversation went: Them -Thank you for calling regarding your credit, how may I help you? Me-Yes, you called regarding my credit saying I could lower my rates? Them-Well, ma'am it depends on a few factors, may I have your name? Me-My name is not important, what I find curious is that I am going bankrupt, and have retain a lawyer, Them-HANG UP!!

The usual ... they are not affiliated with any credit card co or bank ... spam&scam ... If you Do Not Call the rep they will hang up immediately but they don't stop calling. A great opportunity to try out new ways to waste their time ...

Apparently they do not subscribe to the DNC registry which they must do. Reporting to the National DNC registry.  $11,000.00 fine!

I have been getting calls from this number and "unknown name,unknown caller" for several days.  They call fifty or sixty times a day.  All through the night.  Sometimes it sounds like a recording,  a man repeating Hello?  in a foreign accent.  I think I did speak to someone once but he seemed not to speak English.  I think I have been able to block the 7011 number but I am unable to block the Unknown number. Please help. This is awful.  I am literally being hounded by an unknown entity.
