It is definetely a a big SCAM... I don't care what you say about it. I just called my service provider and was confirmed that the phone is a FAX machine number. From the recorded message from (719) 392-4357) to block press #7 and to complete blocking you have to call an 800 number which will tell you to subscribe to a long distance phone service.

got the same call, and it is from someone inside the jail trying to reach you. I went through did the pre paid thing and talked to the person trying to reach me.

This is a service you can set up on your phone for an inmate in El Paso county jail Colorado so you can get calls from them. It is pre paid account that you put money on to get calls from someone in jail. you have to give them your info and who may call. so I am not sure why they could get through to you if you haven't approved your number for this inmate to call. Not sure how helpful that was but thats how it has worked for me haha.

It is from the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center. An inmate is trying to use the phone to call someone on the outside.

Just got a collect call from this number, from what sounded like a "Ben" from the El Paso County Jail supposedly. I only know one ben and I haven't seen him in years and this definitely was not him.Though you would think if this was a legit El Paso jail number that it would be listed in the phone book.

Do not know why they are calling. Identify themselves as El Paso County Criminal justice. We know of no one in jail. They leave an 866- number to call if you want to accept the collect call. This is definitely a scam.

then it said Elpaso county criminal justice.They also said, your phone company does not allow collect calls. So establish a prepaid collect call account using VISA/MASTER credit debit cardsNothing more. Receiving extremly harrasing phone calls from this number. It is a fax number so it is a place of business. Crank calls start off then become extremly verbally abusive, even threatening.
