Kept getting phone calls from Time Warner Special Promotions Dept even after I told them they had the wrong number, I was on the federal do not call list, and to cease calling me. I believe the person who oversees this dept is Mr. Walker in Wisconsin. Call him at (414)908-2069. Then call the office of the president at (212)364-8200 and file a complaint.

Been getting the same calls from time warner. Just advertising and elevator music. Called the local time warner office, talked to some one in the sales dept and they found a "do not call" screen in their computer system that should take me off of their list for 3 yrs. Hope it works, if not this is probably just the incentive I need to switch cable providers.

And like all call centers, they probably follow a script of what time warner tells them to say, so don't be rude or else someone could lose their job, at least they're trying to support themselves and not live off welfare, don't make their crummy job harder... a little kindness goes a long way. and if you ask, they HAVE to put you on the list. and yes, they read a required script as they did so.

It's time warner calling for promotions - they do not have to follow the federal DO NOT CALL list if you have an acct with them. if you want the calls to stop, then you must answer the phone and ask for it. they will put you in right away but advice it may take up to 30 days for it to be processed fully and you may receive calls in those 30 days. also, please remember - these people do not choose to call you. it's an automated system and they call whoever pops up on their computer. it's a tough economy out there and people have to take whatever jobs they can get - more than likely it's several people calling you because your name pops up on the list... it isn't ONE Person doing all these. so please be polite when you ask to be taken off ,,, it's not the person on the other line's fault for how a company runs things. they are the little people who have NO control but they have a family to support... just my 2 cents... treat others how you'd like to be treated... be mad at the company, not it's workers...

They're calling me several times a day, too, and we're NOT Time Warner customers.  I just redialed the number that appeared and talked to someone in the Time Warner Special Offers department.  I told him that I'd like to stop receiving calls from them and he asked for my number.  He apologized and said that I shouldn't be receiving calls in the future.  Hopefully that's true!

I am on the do not call list! Time Warner calls several times a day, every day! MOST of the time hangs up after I answer. They wanted to upgrade my service... I've been getting calls from this number for over a month, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I usually don't answer 800 calls on my cell phone (if it's legit, they usually leave a message and I can just call back). But I finally answered from this number today and the caller hung up when after I said "Hello". I am a Time Warner customer, so it could be them. I'll make another post if I finally get someone to talk to me from that number.

I called it back and it is TIME WARNER CABLE SPECIAL PROMOTIONS line. Only waited on hold for a minute, then decided that was a waste of my time versus filing complaints here.
