These people call several times a day also from number
I would encourage everyone to file a report with NJ attorney general's office: http://www.njconsumeraffairs.com/ocp/ocpform.htm
I didn't pick up as I did not recognize the number but left a message on my voice mail asking for someone, whom I do not know, to call him back over a very important business matter. He had an Indian accent.
A man who claims his name is John Mayer calls at least twice a day three times a week. At first he was looking for my mom, and then all of a sudden me. I need to block this number, but I don't know how :(
Keeps calling my parents phone asking for someone who doesn't live there.
YES****AY & TODAY THEY HAVE ASKED FOR A PERSON THAT DOES NOT LIVE HERE. BUT HAS SAME LAST NAME.
This number has called me several times, usually in the morning. The caller has repeatedly called and woken me up during spring vacation. Also , the caller calls once a day, usually when I am in a lecture hall at school.
called 6 times the last 3 days asking for some lady. will not id self
It shows that this is a landline that is unpublised in a home in UNION CITY New Jersey. Our names were used as a reference for someone who was checking into a payday loan...unknown to us. They told the company that they didn't want the money and the company put it into their bank and told them that they had to take it. This company never called any reference before that and now they have called to harrass and make threats. We don't even know what it's all about and it doesn't involve us at all. They've told some other people that were references that were never called that they are co-signers. It has been horrible. I wish that the Government would put a stop to them doing this illegal business practice. They were told by the individual that was just checking to see if they could get a loan that they decided not to borrow any money. None of the references were called and the money was forced on them. Now the company has called the references that were listed in the original online application and have made threats, harrassed, and claims that we are co-signers...when we in fact are not and didn't even know about this. They have also claimed to the parties that the money was forced onto that they are with Ramsey County, MN and have made all kinds of threats. After this company put the money into the bank account and forced it onto the young college aged people, then these folks tried to take the money out which the bank did not allow. It's been a mess.
This number just s****ed calling about 2 weeks ago. I have don't call but I guess who ever is calling 3-4 times a day doesn't care
daily annoyance calls
This is a complete scam. Report them to the FTC.
Call ID shows 'unavailable', no one answers when call is picked up. 7 times in last 4 days.
They call my phone 4-6 times per day and do not leave messages. They usually call when I am away from my phone, but when I try to call the number back I only get a recording.
continue to receive a call from this UNAVAILABLE number stating that i have an unpaid balance for a credit card that i do not have. he wants to confirm that my SS# is the same as he has. this is obviously a ploy to get my SS#.
most persistent unknown caller yet - 6 times in the past 12 days.
Very addament to talk with my son. He said he had some business with my son. (this has been a long drawn out thing with other agencies about a debt and they have the wrong person, SS# & birthdate not my son.)I told him that he is away at college so he told me to have him call. I told him no and that if he needed anything from him to come where we live and we see him about it in court.
Called my house and ***g up.
Calls several times per day. Leaves message on ma****e saying we've been trying to reach you. It's important that you return our call. Have answered several times ..they ask for Ronnie.. told them that no one by the name of Ronnie lives here. Kept calling until husband answered and chewed them out and threatened to report them.
WHO is this calling me? Does anybody know?
first time today being called by this number but they sent it as urgent-a very thick accent-and the message just said to call its urgent but they did not leave a number or company name
They call all times of the day and night. My only day to sleep in was today - Sat. They called at 8:20 a.m. Also called last night at 9:35 p.m. When I told the **** to take us off of his calling list, he became rude.
Same as all the other complaints. Several calls per day...messages on answering ma****e that "we have been trying to reach you."
J***T If the creditors that called you came from the 201-210-3618 Then you got scammed on the money you paid. They are not debt collectors and that's why they are getting away with breaking the law. They are stealing people's iden***ies and convincing them to pay money that they don't even owe. That money you paid them did not go towards the debt that you had, because they don't work for anyone lagit. They are not trying to get you to open a credit card either they are trying to get your SSI number and your existing credit card numbers if you have any. Just give them a bunch of bogus info when they call so they will be sent on a wild goose chase. After they continually try to open accounts with bogus info they will FINALLY get caught.
They keep on calling my home.
I googled this number. S****ing today, this number Is calling my home and cell phone numbers several times a day. Haven't answered because I and household members let the answering ma****e answer the phone if name and/or phone # is "Unavailable".
This lady identified herself as stella from agents receivables. Left an 800 call back #. Has called my phone now 3 times in 2 days asking for someone else. Do not want these people calling me anymore. Lady has indian accent.
calls me 5-6 times a day on my cell saying they are trying to collect a debt. They know my name but I dont owe them anything and wont tell me who they are collecting for. I dont answer anymore and they leave very rude and threating message all day 7 days a week.
has been calling my house at least once a day for last week. I answered once and there was a recording. The second time I answered they did not even know who they were calling. The person they were calling was a Leslie Colvin-- no one here by that name. The idiot on the other end had a thick foreign accent. 6069
continually calling...evenings, weekends, no answer.
Has been calling my cell since 2007 at least once a week. Early on I answered it a few times. Only once was there a person on the other end, and that time it sounded like they were just listening. Knowing they were there, I instructed them to stop calling. Of course, they never stopped.
This number has been calling my cell phone everyday...when I answer it ***ody is there...I read a lot of complaints about these calls trying to scam money out of people...Plz do so****ing about this
Caller claimed I owed money to "an interested party that we represent". This is completly bogus. I feel they attempted to scam me, and said so. Reporting this number to the State Atorney General's Office.
several calls a week, sometimes daily. Always listed as unavailable. Never leaves message. ****s up when answered.
i recieved this call today. They need to be ****.
Time to fight back. I'm sick of getting calls from Global Vantage's outsourced reps in India. So call the CEO, Dennis Sholl, at home and tell him you're sick of it. Dennis W Sholl 128 Fairhills Dr San Rafael, CA 94901-1107 (415) 457-9595 Listing Details Age: 55-59 Household: Lecia Sholl
called on christmas day don't know who the person is that they are looking for..
someone calls for a arthur bell don't know who this person is..and sick of the calls
These people call one to several times a day. I don't owe anybody anything. What can I do to stop this?
I don't know who RCS Center Corp is. If they are debt collectors, they have the wrong #. I do not owe any $ to anyone.
left message on my ma****e for someone that doesn't even live at this address, stating it was urgent that this person call back. They left the number
I don't owe them any money
debt collector for amex - called my parents house - i called them back and demanded that remove that number (2 weeks ago). I set up a possible payment arrangement with them - explained that I would call back if payment could be made - They have now tried to process two times and have cost me over $70.00 dollars. I had not called them back at first and they called my parents a second time. I need to file a complaint a***nst them. Spoke with someone with a heavy Indian accent - said if I do not answer his calls he will continue to call my parents.
some annoying woman with a idian accent. call constantly and saying "hello" into my answering ma****e. god make her go away
I have been receiving calls from this same company for over a year now. Always a very strong Indian accent. Background noise is obviously from a call center. Refuses to state any information regarding this so-called debt. Asked them to send paperwork regarding the so-called debt and they also refused. Have filed many complaints on several different government websites. The number that they call on c****es often and they will call over and over a***n. I have received as many as 20 calls in just one morning from them.
don't say who they are looking for---------recording saying to call them-----------Im sure the call was for the people who had my number before me-------------I get many, many calls for them still. It's been over 2 years!
Same as everyone else. Call the FTC and lodge a complaint. Also call you state Attorney General's office and file with them. That's the only way we're going to get action with this ****! I even told these callers the person they were calling for was dead. They "demanded" a copy of the ***** certificate! Get a life.
Woman called twice; believed our number was for someone else -- likely based on her reverse directory use (we kept number after moving in same city). Wouldn't identify herself; rudely accused us as knowing the whereabouts of the subject.
Rude asking for personal information
Very hard to understand and rude but still would not let me to who i supposed to owe but must give information right now. Call sometimes at 11:30 at night.
How can we make them stop? They call multiple times a day, every day of the week and it's been going on for at least two months. Very rude men. Today I was told the only way they would stop calling us was if I confirmed my husband's ssn. NO WAY! I'm ready to take legal action.
This caller is calling my household for someone else's debt. The debtor has the same name as someone in my household and lives in the same city. The debtor has not moved, and there is no reason for this creditor to make random calls to my household.
He had a strong accent and insisted that he talked to me just before this I said that I did not speak to him. He asked for someone named Johnny and I am not a johnny. He was very rude and argued w/ me telling me that I was who he was looking for when I have never ever spoken to him before. I am on the do not call list so how did he get my number?????
WITH ALL RESPECT I OWE TO ALL LIVING IN THE U.S., PEOPLE IF YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE HERE YOU NEED TO LEARN ENGLI**** WHICH IS OUR OFFICIAL LANGUAGE, AND LEAVE YOUR ACCENT UNDER YOUR BED! I ONLY UNDERSTOOD HALF OF WHAT THIS PERSON WAS SAYING, BUT JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE HAS THE SAME LAST NAME, THAT DOES NOT MEAN HE OR SHE ARE RELATED TO YOU!
They claim they are calling about my account. They are Indian. The account they give I have never heard of. They are very rude, today he called me a liar.
I get calls every day from this place (201-210-3618), at all hours. I finally reported them to the www.donotcall.gov federal website, where I had registered my number several months ago. We'll see if it stops.
This phone number calls my house constantly with a message that says, "we've been trying to reach you. We have an important message for you." This has been going on for over a month! When I called to complain to them, they wouldn't tell me their company's name nor who they were trying to reach. I demanded that they stop calling me or else I'd take action. They continued the next day, however, bothering me.
unsolicited. Calls repeatedly with 1-2 minutes about 5-6 times last few days.
Possible Solutions! These calls were driving me crazy. I was even thinking about c****ing my phone number. However, I recently got a Panasonic phone which has a very nice feature called “Block Calls”. Also, it has a feature called “Night mode” which you can use to select a span of time during which the handset will not ring. FYI, the model of the phone is Panasonic KX-TG9341. There are other models which differ in the number of extra handsets and key pad on the base unit but all have the same nice features to deal with unwanted calls. Also Grandcentral (company now owned by Google) has a very nice service to manage your phone number(s), and one of the many features is “Block Callers”. It looks like Google will offer this service for free in the near future. You can make a reservation by going to: http://www.grandcentral.com/home I hope this helps someone.

I am guessing it is a debt collector, although I do not have any debt to the best of my knowledge and what is worse, they are not calling me they are calling my landlord asking for my cell # the first time they called.

Pamela Williams from a call center in India. I.m sorry I don't know her and asking for my social security number. Well I suggested that she sent me a letter.
Someone from this number has been calling my house 3-4 times a day. I don't answer calls from numbers or names I don't know on my caller ID. After reading the complaints below I know that I'm correct in not answering. How can they get away with this?
Make it stop!
I haave asked them to quit calling because I have sent papers in to prove debt was a forgery to them. They call two or three times a day, seven days a week. 9194
Calls every afternoon at approximately 3:30 pm. Fortunately I have not been home. I am on the "Do Not Call List". How can they get away with violating the system? I thought a fine was possible.5417
Offensive man, strong accent, finally said he got my number on internet by inputting the address of the man he was calling. was offended when I kept asking how he got my number
they were wanting me too give name and identify a social security number I called number back and they were very offencive too answer questions then ***g up on me
Called numerous times. Leave garbled voice mail regarding debt. Don't have any unpaid debt.
hi
My daughter answered the phone, some woman kept asking for "Patricia". When told she had the wrong number, she insisted it was the right number, and "Patricia" gave them this number. My daughter just ***g up on her.
These people called the other morning, asking for me. Instead they tell me they're looking for my 'alleged' neighbor in which they give me the person's address. I have no idea who they're talking about and tell them so. The man (of Indian decent) proceeds to rudely quiz me of whether I really know who the neighbor is and why I don't know them, they're 'right across the street'. I suspect they'll call back. I've already filled a complaint with the Nat'l DNC list and I'll be sure to tell them that when they call back.
This was the first call we've received from them. We have no outstanding debts, no collections, nothing. I kind of figured it would be a political call, so I answered it.. They asked for a Tanya somebody or another.. I just told them they had the wrong number.. We've had this number for 6 years now and NEVER have rec'd any calls for a Tanya.. So, I Googled it just now, with the number and the name on caller ID.. The name that showed up was Global Vantedge, so I googled that also.. I found this link and it is a US company based in India.. They handle debt/credit/collection issues and other stuff I presume. The do have a mailing address on the site also, I think it's to India though, so IDK how much it'll help.. http://www.gvedge.com/
These people have called my home several times always looking for a neighbor. They will not say why they are calling - but I checked the phone number - a debt collector. There must be someway to protect people from getting these types of calls - not just the person receiving the call, but the person for which they are looking. It is not right and it is probably a***nst the law - FCC or whatever. What can be done to protect a person's right to privacy. If a collection agency were trying to locate me through a neighbor, I would be devastated and angry. This is so wrong. I do not even know the people they are looking for other than by name. What can be done about this?
