Has called my cell phone 6 times over the past 3 days...
This number calls early mornings, during day and late nights! Never leaves message!
These people call several times a day also from number
I would encourage everyone to file a report with NJ attorney general's office: http://www.njconsumeraffairs.com/ocp/ocpform.htm
I didn't pick up as I did not recognize the number but left a message on my voice mail asking for someone, whom I do not know, to call him back over a very important business matter. He had an Indian accent.
A man who claims his name is John Mayer calls at least twice a day three times a week. At first he was looking for my mom, and then all of a sudden me. I need to block this number, but I don't know how :(
Keeps calling my parents phone asking for someone who doesn't live there.
YESTERDAY & TODAY THEY HAVE ASKED FOR A PERSON THAT DOES NOT LIVE HERE. BUT HAS SAME LAST NAME.
This number has called me several times, usually in the morning. The caller has repeatedly called and woken me up during spring vacation. Also , the caller calls once a day, usually when I am in a lecture hall at school.
called 6 times the last 3 days asking for some lady. will not id self
It shows that this is a landline that is unpublised in a home in UNION CITY New Jersey. Our names were used as a reference for someone who was checking into a payday loan...unknown to us. They told the company that they didn't want the money and the company put it into their bank and told them that they had to take it. This company never called any reference before that and now they have called to harrass and make threats. We don't even know what it's all about and it doesn't involve us at all. They've told some other people that were references that were never called that they are co-signers. It has been horrible. I wish that the Government would put a stop to them doing this illegal business practice. They were told by the individual that was just checking to see if they could get a loan that they decided not to borrow any money. None of the references were called and the money was forced on them. Now the company has called the references that were listed in the original online application and have made threats, harrassed, and claims that we are co-signers...when we in fact are not and didn't even know about this. They have also claimed to the parties that the money was forced onto that they are with Ramsey County, MN and have made all kinds of threats. After this company put the money into the bank account and forced it onto the young college aged people, then these folks tried to take the money out which the bank did not allow. It's been a mess.
This number just started calling about 2 weeks ago.
I have don't call but I guess who
ever is calling 3-4 times
a day doesn't care
daily annoyance calls
This is a complete scam. Report them to the FTC.
Call ID shows 'unavailable', no one answers when call is picked up. 7 times in last 4 days.
They call my phone 4-6 times per day and do not leave messages. They usually call when I am away from my phone, but when I try to call the number back I only get a recording.
continue to receive a call from this UNAVAILABLE number stating that i have an unpaid balance for a credit card that i do not have. he wants to confirm that my SS# is the same as he has. this is obviously a ploy to get my SS#.
most persistent unknown caller yet - 6 times in the past 12 days.
Very addament to talk with my son.
He said he had some business with my son. (this has been a long drawn out thing with other agencies about a debt and they have the wrong person, SS# & birthdate not my son.)I told him that he is away at college so he told me to have him call. I told him no and that if he needed anything from him to come where we live and we see him about it in court.
Called my house and hung up.
Calls several times per day. Leaves message on machine saying we've been trying to reach you. It's important that you return our call. Have answered several times ..they ask for Ronnie.. told them that no one by the name of Ronnie lives here. Kept calling until husband answered and chewed them out and threatened to report them.
WHO is this calling me? Does anybody know?
first time today being called by this number but they sent it as urgent-a very thick accent-and the message just said to call its urgent but they did not leave a number or company name
They call all times of the day and night. My only day to sleep in was today - Sat. They called at 8:20 a.m. Also called last night at 9:35 p.m. When I told the jerk to take us off of his calling list, he became rude.
Same as all the other complaints. Several calls per day...messages on answering machine that "we have been trying to reach you."
JBRAT If the creditors that called you came from the 201-210-3618 Then you got scammed on the money you paid. They are not debt collectors and that's why they are getting away with breaking the law. They are stealing people's identities and convincing them to pay money that they don't even owe. That money you paid them did not go towards the debt that you had, because they don't work for anyone lagit. They are not trying to get you to open a credit card either they are trying to get your SSI number and your existing credit card numbers if you have any.
Just give them a bunch of bogus info when they call so they will be sent on a wild goose chase. After they continually try to open accounts with bogus info they will FINALLY get caught.
They keep on calling my home.
I googled this number. Starting today, this number Is calling my home and cell phone numbers several times a day. Haven't answered because I and household members let the answering machine answer the phone if name and/or phone # is "Unavailable".
This lady identified herself as stella from agents receivables. Left an 800 call back #. Has called my phone now 3 times in 2 days asking for someone else. Do not want these people calling me anymore. Lady has indian accent.
calls me 5-6 times a day on my cell saying they are trying to collect a debt. They know my name but I dont owe them anything and wont tell me who they are collecting for. I dont answer anymore and they leave very rude and threating message all day 7 days a week.
has been calling my house at least once a day for last week. I answered once and there was a recording. The second time I answered they did not even know who they were calling. The person they were calling was a Leslie Colvin-- no one here by that name. The idiot on the other end had a thick foreign accent.
continually calling...evenings, weekends, no answer.
Has been calling my cell since 2007 at least once a week. Early on I answered it a few times. Only once was there a person on the other end, and that time it sounded like they were just listening. Knowing they were there, I instructed them to stop calling. Of course, they never stopped.
This number has been calling my cell phone everyday...when I answer it nobody is there...I read a lot of complaints about these calls trying to scam money out of people...Plz do something about this
Caller claimed I owed money to "an interested party that we represent". This is completly bogus.
I feel they attempted to scam me, and said so. Reporting this number to the State Atorney General's Office.
several calls a week, sometimes daily. Always listed as unavailable. Never leaves message. Hangs up when answered.
i recieved this call today. They need to be shot.
Time to fight back. I'm sick of getting calls from Global Vantage's outsourced reps in India. So call the CEO, Dennis Sholl, at home and tell him you're sick of it.
Dennis W Sholl

called on christmas day don't know who the person is that they are looking for..
someone calls for a arthur bell don't know who this person is..and sick of the calls
These people call one to several times a day. I don't owe anybody anything. What can I do to stop this?
I don't know who RCS Center Corp is. If they are debt collectors, they have the wrong #. I do not owe any $ to anyone.
left message on my machine for someone that doesn't even live at this address, stating it was urgent that this person call back. They left the number
I don't owe them any money
debt collector for amex - called my parents house - i called them back and demanded that remove that number (2 weeks ago). I set up a possible payment arrangement with them - explained that I would call back if payment could be made - They have now tried to process two times and have cost me over $70.00 dollars.
I had not called them back at first and they called my parents a second time. I need to file a complaint against them.
Spoke with someone with a heavy Indian accent - said if I do not answer his calls he will continue to call my parents.
some annoying woman with a idian accent. call constantly and saying "hello" into my answering machine. god make her go away
I have been receiving calls from this same company for over a year now. Always a very strong Indian accent. Background noise is obviously from a call center. Refuses to state any information regarding this so-called debt. Asked them to send paperwork regarding the so-called debt and they also refused. Have filed many complaints on several different government websites. The number that they call on changes often and they will call over and over again. I have received as many as 20 calls in just one morning from them.
don't say who they are looking for---------recording saying to call them-----------Im sure the call was for the people who had my number before me-------------I get many, many calls for them still. It's been over 2 years!
Same as everyone else. Call the FTC and lodge a complaint. Also call you state Attorney General's office and file with them. That's the only way we're going to get action with this crap! I even told these callers the person they were calling for was dead. They "demanded" a copy of the death certificate! Get a life.
Woman called twice; believed our number was for someone else -- likely based on her reverse directory use (we kept number after moving in same city). Wouldn't identify herself; rudely accused us as knowing the whereabouts of the subject.
Rude asking for personal information
Very hard to understand and rude but still would not let me to who i supposed to owe but must give information right now. Call sometimes at 11:30 at night.
How can we make them stop? They call multiple times a day, every day of the week and it's been going on for at least two months. Very rude men. Today I was told the only way they would stop calling us was if I confirmed my husband's ssn. NO WAY! I'm ready to take legal action.
This caller is calling my household for someone else's debt. The debtor has the same name as someone in my household and lives in the same city. The debtor has not moved, and there is no reason for this creditor to make random calls to my household.
He had a strong accent and insisted that he talked to me just before this I said that I did not speak to him. He asked for someone named Johnny and I am not a johnny. He was very rude and argued w/ me telling me that I was who he was looking for when I have never ever spoken to him before. I am on the do not call list so how did he get my number?????
WITH ALL RESPECT I OWE TO ALL LIVING IN THE U.S., PEOPLE IF YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE HERE YOU NEED TO LEARN ENGLISH!! WHICH IS OUR OFFICIAL LANGUAGE, AND LEAVE YOUR ACCENT UNDER YOUR BED!
I ONLY UNDERSTOOD HALF OF WHAT THIS PERSON WAS SAYING, BUT JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE HAS THE SAME LAST NAME, THAT DOES NOT MEAN HE OR SHE ARE RELATED TO YOU!
They claim they are calling about my account. They are Indian. The account they give I have never heard of. They are very rude, today he called me a liar.
I get calls every day from this place (201-210-3618), at all hours. I finally reported them to the www.donotcall.gov federal website, where I had registered my number several months ago. We'll see if it stops.
This phone number calls my house constantly with a message that says, "we've been trying to reach you. We have an important message for you." This has been going on for over a month! When I called to complain to them, they wouldn't tell me their company's name nor who they were trying to reach. I demanded that they stop calling me or else I'd take action. They continued the next day, however, bothering me.
unsolicited. Calls repeatedly with 1-2 minutes about 5-6 times last few days.
These calls were driving me crazy. I was even thinking about changing my phone number. However, I recently got a Panasonic phone which has a very nice feature called “Block Calls”. Also, it has a feature called “Night mode” which you can use to select a span of time during which the handset will not ring. FYI, the model of the phone is Panasonic KX-TG9341. There are other models which differ in the number of extra handsets and key pad on the base unit but all have the same nice features to deal with unwanted calls.
Also Grandcentral (company now owned by Google) has a very nice service to manage your phone number(s), and one of the many features is “Block Callers”. It looks like Google will offer this service for free in the near future. You can make a reservation by going to:
I hope this helps someone.

I am guessing it is a debt collector, although I do not have any debt to the best of my knowledge and what is worse, they are not calling me they are calling my landlord asking for my cell # the first time they called.

Pamela Williams from a call center in India. I.m sorry I don't know her and asking for my social security number. Well I suggested that she sent me a letter.
Someone from this number has been calling my house 3-4 times a day. I don't answer calls from numbers or names I don't know on my caller ID. After reading the complaints below I know that I'm correct in not answering. How can they get away with this?
Make it stop!
I haave asked them to quit calling because I have sent papers in to prove debt was a forgery to them. They call two or three times a day, seven days a week. 9194
Calls every afternoon at approximately 3:30 pm. Fortunately I have not been home. I am on the "Do Not Call List". How can they get away with violating the system? I thought a fine was possible.5417
Offensive man, strong accent, finally said he got my number on internet by inputting the address of the man he was calling. was offended when I kept asking how he got my number
they were wanting me too give name and identify a social security number I called number back and they were very offencive too answer questions then hung up on me
Called numerous times. Leave garbled voice mail regarding debt. Don't have any unpaid debt.
My daughter answered the phone, some woman kept asking for "Patricia". When told she had the wrong number, she insisted it was the right number, and "Patricia" gave them this number. My daughter just hung up on her.
These people called the other morning, asking for me. Instead they tell me they're looking for my 'alleged' neighbor in which they give me the person's address. I have no idea who they're talking about and tell them so. The man (of Indian decent) proceeds to rudely quiz me of whether I really know who the neighbor is and why I don't know them, they're 'right across the street'. I suspect they'll call back. I've already filled a complaint with the Nat'l DNC list and I'll be sure to tell them that when they call back.
This was the first call we've received from them. We have no outstanding debts, no collections, nothing. I kind of figured it would be a political call, so I answered it..
They asked for a Tanya somebody or another.. I just told them they had the wrong number.. We've had this number for 6 years now and NEVER have rec'd any calls for a Tanya..
So, I Googled it just now, with the number and the name on caller ID.. The name that showed up was Global Vantedge, so I googled that also..
I found this link and it is a US company based in India.. They handle debt/credit/collection issues and other stuff I presume. The do have a mailing address on the site also, I think it's to India though, so IDK how much it'll help..
These people have called my home several times always looking for a neighbor. They will not say why they are calling - but I checked the phone number - a debt collector. There must be someway to protect people from getting these types of calls - not just the person receiving the call, but the person for which they are looking. It is not right and it is probably against the law - FCC or whatever. What can be done to protect a person's right to privacy. If a collection agency were trying to locate me through a neighbor, I would be devastated and angry. This is so wrong. I do not even know the people they are looking for other than by name. What can be done about this?

These people give out fake names and are very rude. They call three times a day looking for a friend that once called them from my phone. From researching other complaints, they harass friends, family members, and coworkers in order to get information. I have threatened to file police reports against them and they still call. If I could only figure out the address of their business, I would send them a cease communication order.
I received several calls from 201-210-3618 Global Vantedge also. The person was so very rude, I hung up on him. He called right back and threatened to have all of my assets on his desk within 24 hours. It's not even ME he's calling for, but for a family member whom I haven't heard from or seen in 15 years. I told him to go ahead and take all of my assets....if he can find any. I don't own any property, I don't drive, and I don't have any bank accounts. I said, 'help yourself stupid' and hung up. Didn't help. Calls still continue. I just don't answer.
same as allways, trying to get in contact with a neighbor. bla bla bla. no details and very rude.
This number has called every day for eight months leaving a message that it is important for them to get ahold of us. Lately, a person started calling asking for by first name, someone who has never lived here. They said they will remove our number. Now they are calling asking for the person same first name but added a street address. They will not anwser any questions. All have had Indian accents. Phising???
Called 2x today (a Saturday) and typically 2x every Saturday. If you answer, there's no one on the line.
PLEASE REPORT THIS COMPLAINT TO THE FEDS DO NOT CALL LIST AT:
calls two to three times a day. calls for somebody that does not live at my house.
Person called and requested to speak to someone but when call was returned they did not have any information on who or why the call was made.
Well for starters it looks like a lot of people are having the same issue as I am. The other day they called my work phone and it was some indian dude, I was half asleep so I ended up hanging up on him. To day Sunday 07-20-2008 they called again, now a women. Said I have an outstanding debt of $200, and if I didn't pay it was going to be like $350 something. I told her i don't owe anything and she proceeded to tell me to pay it. Once again I hung up and googled the number.
I ended up calling them back, the guy was rude, and wanting to know my name. After asking for the company name and what they do, he hung up on me. So come tomorrow I will be filling a complaint with the Michigan attorney general.
calls several times a day I just pick up the phone & turn it off. don't know any thing about these people
CALL Dept. Finance in Idaho it is 208-332-8071 The more calls the better. Let's just DO IT!
Calling every day 4 or more times a day for about 2 weeks about a debt that is not real. Put in a complaint with the FTC. I am getting sick of saying stop calling me. I think this is a scam and every one should put a complaint in with the FTC even your neighbors.
medical debt for unknown provider.
This number keeps calling my parents home in another State and they have given me the number to check into. I have reported it to the authorities and if they continue to call they will have a law suit in their hands. Calling at all times of day and on weekends as well. They need to be "behind bars" or "get a life" instead of disturbing people!
call about 8 or 9 times a day always a recording.
Day and night.
Called my neighbors saying he was unable to get ahold of me, and to have me call immediately. Violation of privacy act I am thinking
Global Vantedge calls our house asking to speak with myself or my husband. They say they are seeking a man who I have never met but know the name of. He used to date my sister. When we tell them that we've never met the man, they have been rude or accepting at different times. Regardless of what we say they KEEP calling. The last time they called they intimidated my teenage daughter! Who are these people? Should we be concerned about this? Would a freeze on our credit bureau accounts be a good idea? Any thoughts...I plan to call the Cheryl Franklin on Mon. and hope to end these calls. I agree, this is creepy!
Ph#201-210-3618 the man keeps calling my home wanting to talk with my husband & when i tell him he's not home he gets very upset wanting to know when he will be home. when i ask who he is he gives me a name but, is very hard to understand..if i ask to many questions he gets kind of nasty & hangs up on me...
I am so sick of these calls!!
201-210-3618 Caller claims that someone called their number and left my number or my number shows up when calling them. They give some name, but is unfamiliar to me. Don't know who they are. It's happened at least 10 times in the past week (not a lot compared to others)!
201-210-3618 Calls 5 to 6 times a day starting at 8ish in the morning till 10ish at night. Google it. Why doesn't our government do something?
did not leave a message..keeps on calling..so annoying..
Do not want to receive calls from this unknown source
201-210-3618Caller ID: UNAVAILABLECaller Type: Collection AgencyFound a note in my mailbox saying call Rick Smith at 800-727-3593. I called, talked to man named Rick Smith who had a very heavy Indian accent. He wanted my son (also named Bill) to try to collect a debt. I said I'd tell him. Then a call came in from 201-210-3618. It was another man with a heavy Indian accent who said his name was Rick. I said I just talked to him and he said it must have been another Rick. He was extremely rude, asking for bank account number to pay debt. My son said he also calls him at work. They said there is a debt that they are trying to collect, but they will not give any information and will not mail anything. My ex-wife then called me and said that a Rick Smith called her and said it was very important to get in touch with me. I live in New Jersey, she lives in Florida and we were divorced in 1980. I asked if Rick Smith was his real name (because of the strong accent) and he said yes, why would he use a different name.Their call back number (800-727-3593) I found listed for a company called Global Vantedge Inc. 77B Secter 18, IFFCO Road Guragaon, Haryana, INDIAOne day after my previous posts, Rick Smith again called from 201-210-3618. He told me that I had a debt of about 1800.00 which had to be paid. I told him he initially called asking for my son (who says he doesn't know what Rick is talking about) so why is he bothering me. He said this was the only address he had so if my son did not pay, he was going to process the debt as if it were mine. He gave me the last four digits of my Social and of course they were all wrong. I asked him where he was calling from and he said his company was based in California. I said he didn't answer the question. Where was HE calling from. He then told me that it was none of my business. He then just talked over me every time i tried to say anything.Just after I hung up on him, a neighbor knocked on my door and told me that a Rick Smith had called him and said it was very urgent that I get in touch with him immediately.Rick again called the day before yesterday. Spoke in a rather nice tone compared to previous calls. I again asked where he was calling from and he wouldn't answer. I then said "you're calling from India, aren't you?" He answered "of course". I then told him I would not be answering the phone anymore when he called and hung up.
They are calling to sell American Express
They call 4 or 5 times a day with a recorded messsage to call an 866 number. I finally called, and they are looking for someone who has the same first and last names. Looks like they call everyone with a similar name.
We receive 3 or more calls each day from a person trying to get my wife to sign up for an American Express credit card. She does not want it and has told them so. The person can barely speak English.
The calling number is 201-210-3618. My registered number area code is 321-

calls multiple times a day every day for over a year now. will not stop ever!
call every day and won't speak to you if you answer. Just leaves messages for someone i've never heard of. Called the 866 # and they don't answer that either. Harassment? yep.
This is one of those companies that call you and ask you to give a message to my neighbor regarding the "important matter". I've got a similar call for another neighbor several years ago, and I wonder how in the world they got my phone number!! I've told them that I have nothing to do with my neighbor's business and I would file a complaint to BBB if they would ever call me back.
call 3-4 times a day
These nuts called me about every 3 - 4 hours for several months. I finally filed a complaint with the Attorney General of Missouri. I would watch my caller ID and if it was them, I wouldn't answer. These people are crazy! It finally stopped.
They have called me daily for a little over a month now. I do not answer unknown calls. Today, for the first time, they left a message that "it is important for you to call". No idea why it is important nor who "you" is supposed to be. The number to call is
Call several times during the day without a message. This started about a month ago. I pray they will start the calling.
THE CALL SEVERAL TIMES A DAY LOOKING FOR SOMEONE ELSE AND LEAVE MESSAGES. THEY JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND I AM NOT THE PERSON THEY ARE REACHING...SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM TO ME....THEY LEAVE A CALL BACK NUMBER THAT IS CUT OFF BY MY VOICE MAIL INTRO......PLEASE STOP CALLING!!! 2 TO 3 TIMES A DAY....MAYBE IT IS A WAY TO SPENT MY MONEY AT THE CELL COMPANY!!!!! I HAVE HAD THE SAME # FOR OVER 5 YEARS!!!!
They constantly call looking for someone who doesn't live here. Requests to be taken off the list are denied.
these people have been calling at least 3 to4 times a day and you cant even understand what they are saying wanting money for a debt i do not have i made a report to local authorities
Automated service keeps calling giving me a number to call back. they call 3-4 times a day
Call two to three times a day for the last six months.
I've received about 6 calls from this number, sounds like the "devil" is on the phone. Can't understand what they are saying "almost chanting", a mans voice. Very creepy.
weird noises records on my answer machine creepy almost like someone has a voice destorter on. my kids are freaked out by this.
I am so tired of this company calling me. At least 2x a day....
I think I found the answer!Call Cheryl Franklin at 415-925-2777 and tell her to have your phone number removed from their list. It seems to have worked like a charm.Do not engage the people who are calling you. Do not ask them questions or give them any information or ask for their supervisor; do not return their calls if they leave a message. Don’t even answer the phone if you have caller ID and recognize the 201-210-3618 number. After reading messages on several web sites from dozens and dozens of people in my situation—receiving constant phone calls for months from people in India using a NJ number and asking for someone I’ve never heard of—I did some sleuthing on the web. There is some serious doubt about this company’s practices; many suspect it’s all a scam. The company is apparently a collection agency called Global Vantedge (note spelling). Through the Better Business Bureau web site, I got their Calif. phone number and left a message over the weekend demanding to be removed from their call list. First thing on Monday morning, Cheryl Franklin called me back to say it’s been done and that if I get another call from the NJ number to let her know. Haven’t received any calls since.
This number continually calls for me as well, the weird thing is they are calling my girlfriends house. They leave messages stating that it is important and that I know why they are calling yet they never say their company name and the one time I asked they refused to tell me what it was about.
This number keeps calling a all you here is like alien sounds its really annoying and creepy
They've been calling on & off for the past 3 years asking for someone by name who never lived at my residence(new home).I answered once & explained this to them, but they wouldn't believe me.
who is it?
automated system calls at least twice a day requesting to call them back at a toll free number. I dont owe nothing to anyone and want these disturbing calls stopped.
they are calling me on easter sunday every 2 hours....
Calls 2-3 times per day. Leaves message on machine to contact them at
In 30 minutes they called me 3 times and it is a total of 5-8 times a day all week long. Sometimes they leave a message sometimes they dont. I'm also turning them into the BBB.
Calls 3-4 times a day. No message ever left. I do not answer unknown calls.
this is from a collection agency. Global Vant-Edge. i think they are based in India, which is why they have heavy accents
Funnily, today I got another call from the same number. This time is was a pleasent woman with perfect English (!), probably American and she askedr for a Nicole.
Call daily 2-4 times starting at 8:30 am. Usually ask for Mike with different last names. One caller was a woman with African American accent, however, mostly it is a man with Indian accent. I said no Mike lived here and asked them not to call me again especially at 8:30 am on weekends. They have kept calling me but now they are playing a recording which I never listen to till the end. If I do not pick up the phone they either leave no message or say one word "Hello".I got my number very recently and I they have been calling me since day two or three. I never gave them my number and I know I have no business with them. I usually hang up on them but it is very annoying because they call at 8:30 am every single Saturday and Sunday.
I am wondering of there is a link between numbers # 877-866-8300 (Callerd ID: unknown)and 201-210-3618 (Caller ID: unavailable). I got my current number about a month ago and I registerd it with DONOTCALL.GOV These two are the only numbers that have been calling me daily. The 877-number leaves some non-sense messages. The 201-number started playing a recording after I told the "Indian" man that I was tired of him calling so many times after he had been told I was not the person he was looking for.
I get calls as early as 8:10am every day even on Sundays and they call until 9:00pm. don't usually leave a msg one day I counted 8 calls in one day no msg.
I get calls as early as 7:50am even on sundays and they call until 10pm. doesn't usually leave a msg and when he did I could not understand what he was saying and he doesn't say who the msg is for.
I received this call a few times since yesterday. It is very annoying. Is there anything that we can do to stop this.
I spoke to a gentle man with a very heavy accent. He was very forward but yet general with what he knew about collecting a debt from me. As if he were trying to get info from me that he could use. I gave very little to no info and after he put me on hold I hung up. Seemed like a scam to me considering I don't handle my financial accounts directly, I knew something was up!
I've been getting calls from this number for the past month, several times a day, have refused to answer after first couple of calls. Caller is East Indian, very rude and threatening. Have reported calls, every time, to donotcall.gov.
calling and asking for me by my first name demanding I call my sister-in-law's older sister within the next five minutes. very rude. arabic accent.
This is the second time they've called...have not answered yet and will not...thank God for caller ID...I'm going to report them to the no call list...just reported one the other day...
I have gotten two phone calls the past two days at around 10 AM. No one leaves a message and I don't answer. It is frustrating.
A man in india called. He said his name was Jack Stewart -Financial Advisor. First he said he was in Massachusett, then after a few minutes of b.s. I asked him again where he was located, then he said he was in Rafael, CA. (I don't think there is a Rafael in CA, I think he meant San Rafael). After further questioning he admitted to be in India. In the background, I heard people cheering, as if he was at a pub, watching soccer or something. He said his company is called Global Vantage and left his number as 1-800-363-4816 x5088. I let him know I will have the FBI contact him. Maybe there is a common link between us, perhaps we all bank at the same place, or worked at the same company, or maybe we all use the same credit card company.... Anyways, whatever...More horror stories and an FTC link to file a complaint:http://reference-man.com/blog/2005/03/accursed-collection-companies.htmlOnline FTC Consumer Complaint Form. For anyone else that wants it, the URL is : https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01Another way to deal with them is to write to State Attorney General, Better Business Bureau in Larkspur, California, Donotcall.gov
They have been calling my house 4 or 5 times a day. I get really **** off and want to answer their call and cuss them out in English so that they get the message not to call,,,,,, BUT I didnt, and just ignor them, that is message enough. Maybe we can find out how to put a block on their incoming calls.
These people call every other day. A heavy India speaking guy demands that I call back by 9pm. This is the first time they have left a message I never answer the phone if I do not know the number.
A Mid-Eastern woman called. hard to understand. She wanted to talk to Robert who I told her wasn't here. She said she was with Global Vantage, I think (hard to understand). Never heard of Global Vantage till this call. I hung up on her.
These people call every couple weeks asking for "Charles Smith" and refuse my requests to stop.
This is some type of Indian boiler room operation that is likely a scam. They somehow get proprietary collections information in an attempt to "collect" on accounts that aren't theirs. They have called at all hours of the day and have harassed relatives that have nothing to do with my personal business. As far as I can tell they are breaking every law in the book on collections protocol which is why I believe that they can only be a scam.
For the past 3 weeks I have been getting calls from this number at all random hours of the day. I do not answer numbers I don't know so I have been receiving many voicemails from a man with a very strong indian accent. He talks about a "very important matter" and he is "waiting for my call" with the message always flagged at urgent. You would think if it was buisness matters as important as he claims he would let you know what it is about and who he is with.... I just want it to stop!!
i'm receiving calls at all hours of the day. One time only i did speak to some one with a heavy accent and could not understand. Now caller never leaves a message or no one at the other end. This needs to stop!
calling my house about an outstanding debt. Very rude people. Don't give any details about the "debt" itself. I believe the calls are a scam.
