Officer John Peterson - who has a thick indian accent & is impossible to understand, is a payday scam artist who pretends he has a warrant unless you pay him by credit card or western union immediately by phone. I almost fell for it & was asking for an address to send a check to. This completely confused the guy. TOTAL SCAM!!! BEWARE!
My co-worker just rec'd a call from this number looking for another of my co-workers...if that co-worker didn't call back they would issue an arrest warrant. He identified himself as "Officer John Peterson" and gave the 201-215-7140 as the call back number. Except when we ran the number it didn't come up a police department...it came up with this site.
This is a scam. An indian male pretends to be an officer of some sort and demands repayment on loans you never took out. BEWARE!!!
They called and he said he was from the US Federal Crime and Prevention Bureau. I proceeded to ask a message and he did not answer any of the ones i asked that anyone should answer. This is a scam
THIS IS A PAYDAY SCAM
Yeah I did they left a voicemail but said nothing. I called backed and the dude was talking so fast asking if I was who I was and if my ssn was mine and my phone number. I thought something was phony because he said I had the phone number since 2009 and I didn't. I actually just got this phone like 3 months ago. They also said something about me having the email address since 2009. That was incorrect also. I signed up with gmail in 2010.
I have recieved a call from this # today saying they are threatening legal action against me if I do not respond today. I do not believe it is legit!!I called the number back and some one else answered and said they have not called anyone in the lat 15 minutes. Beware!!
