Leave a CommentI only got a call from this # once and apparently says out of area which makes no sense since 201 is the area code where I live...
The caller wanted a Holiday/New Year donation to the Policeman's****ociation. I've already been WARNED by my local police department that is someone calls for a donation it is a SCAM. The Police****ociation Never calls for donations. They go door to door. He never stated what Police****ociation re: town, county, state.
The posts are helpful. This number called and did not leave a message. I will not be answering if it call back.
I live in gloucester county, southern nj, and i recieved a call from this number Dec. 21st, 23rd, and 30th, (today). I have never answered because i didn't recognize the number and they have never left a message. Also the caller ID always says "leonia, nj" (201)-228-1022. I don't know anyone who lives north of cherry hill so i just ignored it but they call at 8 p.m. and now it is really irritating. just on here to see what other people had to say and let everyone else know it must be some scammer so for you're own sake just ignore it or block it, dont answer.
no message left
Received calls many times from this number. I don't pick up as I don't recognize the number so no message has been left yet.
I'm receiving at least 1 call per day from this no#-when I pick up before answering mach there is a dial tone; if I let mach take call there is a busy signal.Tried calling no# & rec'd msg this no# is no longer in service!?!?
Caller ID says Out of area. Never says anything. I never pick up.
I got 3 calls also and the number is supposedly disconnected.

Got a call from it tonight at 7.45pm
This number keeps calling and calling and calling. I finally picked it up, said*****o twice then i heard music and then a dial tone. I am really tired of this caller. I am going to report it.
Called me at 8:59 PM! Woke up the kids and everything.
Keep getting call from this number; I do not answer it and no message is left! Just annoying. Going to block it.
I believe this is a scam. Check with your local precinct. If it was for real, they would be contacting you
This number has been relentlessly calling my home and not leaving messages. Someone named Rob (who sounded like a *****) just called and was trying to solicit donations for bullet proof vests for police officers. Wanted me to pick what sticker shield I wanted along with picking a denomination of donation to pledge, and my address to send it to. I informed him that my husband is in Federal law enforcment and I would run this by him when he gets home and call him back. He gave me an "800" number to call him back at. 1-800-921-2022 - Got a woman who said they do fundraising for a number of clients, NJ Police Officers Foundation was indeed one of them, but I don't think this guy is connected with this legit organization. My SCAM antennas were up and alert on this one ...BEWARE!!!!!!!
Claimed to be the NJ Police****ociation. Sounds like a scam. Called and I requested they place me on a do not call list. They called back 3 days later.
I received a call from this number on Nov 8th, 11th and 13th (today). 1st time I called it back a recording noted the number is not taking calls at this time...today a recording notes it's disconnected.
201-228-1022 Scammer calls repeatedly uses various names asking for donation for police PBA or others. **** up or do not take his calls. REPORT THIS LUNATIC and stop him from making calls and scamming!
Called in the morning, didn't leave a message... 'tis the time of year for more scam marketing
got a call from this # - no message left. gonna block it.
I received a call from this #. The caller left a message using my name; no reason for the call was left. I called back and also got a recording that the # was disconnected. Most likely a scam.
I just received a call from this number and some creepy music played then the caller disconnected. I have been receiving a lot of calls from this number but when I try and call it back, the message says that the number is no longer in service. How is that possible? It had to be in service when they called me 1 second ago...Has to be a scam.
201-228-1022 appeared on caller id, did not leave message. sounds like young male with slight african or other caribbean accent. believe to be scammer. do not take these calls.
do not call registry excludes non-profit organizations...which is why soooo many call. you give to one and fifteen others get your info.
Just got a call from this ## - he said his name was Scott Sullivan and he was calling from the police fund drive - ***g upn on him. THIS IS A SCAM. Police officers will NEVER call your house and ask for money.
rec'd a call from this number, didn't leave a msg. i called it back immediately and got recording that phone number was disconnected. it was 2 rings before the message which leads me to believe they have it forwarded to a disconnected number to throw off people like us calling back. Verizon was no help regarding this.
I received a call from this number this morning. The man claimed to be a police officer and was asking for funds for a police****ociation. Frankly he sounded like a ***** and I doubt that he was anything more than a wanna be scam artist.
I received a call from this number soliciting funds for a police****ociation. The caller sounded as if he were outdoors and was very sketchy. I suspect that he is up to no good!
No message from Leonia NJ on my caller ID
First it was calls from the "Fraternal Order of Policemen", another scam. Now I just got the call from this number. The phone ID said "International". "International" what???? If I donate anything now, I go directly to my local Police Dept. or a reputable charity that I have donated to in the past.
Got a call this evening from this phone number. They did not leave a message. But looking at prior reports of others on here for this number, it makes me very su****ious. From what I have been told and researched, NO police departments call people's homes soliciting money. No police department does that in any state. Very su****ious.
If these people are the real deal, they could at least leave a message. If I am interested, I will call them back instead of them calling all the time. I am soooooo tired of getting phone calls, of which most are scams, and I am suppose to be on the NO CALL LIST. So much for that wonderful list.
This number called me 3 times yes****ay....DID NOT leave a message
did not leae a message...not the first call
Just got a call from this number at 8:40 pm. First off, he asked for me by my first name (highly unusual--most direct marketer's ask "May I speak with Mr. or Mrs. Jones") he then identified himself as a police officer. I asked why he was calling after 8:00pm (direct marketing laws prohibit calls after 8:00pm.) He said police officers could call until 9:00pm. He tried to go on but I stopped him and told him we already contributed and cut the call off. I do not think he was for real as he would/could not identify what police department/PBA he was soliciting for. As a direct marketing professional--be wary of this one--so****ing is not right.
Did not leave message.
No one is on the line.
What business has this number?
Caller stated that donations were used for bullet proof vests and survivor benefits. She could not name any actual person or department that actually received a vest or benefit from the "New Jersey Police Officers Foundation." She also could not name any actual police officer involved in this "organization".
Claimed to be taking donations for the police officers foundation to buy bullet proof vests for officers. However I was told my payment was not tax deductible and immediately transferred to someone who wanted payment information. When I told him I'd like more information sent to me, he thanked me and ***g up.I hope it's not, but it sounds like a scam.-Joe
In my case it was the police officers foundation fund drive
