Just got a call from 201-255-8168. they asked for my ***her using his first and last name. My dad lives downstairs from me and his number is one digit different than mine. I asked who was calling and they said Bob Parker. I asked if this was the "rug guy" b/c my dad was having someone come over to fix his carpeting. He then got nervous and said oh, I'll call back, and I said, "what do you want bob parker'? and then he ***g up. This makes me nervous. I do not know who this person is or what they want from us, or why they have our information. My number is unlisted and I tried to call him back and I got a recording saying that it was a disconnected number??HELP

I would like to share with you my story regarding some rather annoying calls I keep receiving from this number. It s****ed about two weeks ago when a gentleman (who was really nice) said he was calling from the police officers foundation. He went into his pitch about what the organization was all about and where the money goes to--things like that to get me to donate. When he asked if I would support it, I asked him if there was anyway that he could mail so****ing to me so that I could look at it and then send so****ing back. The guy said that in order for a pledge kit to go out, I would have to commit to a pledge amount over the phone. I told him that I felt uncomfortable doing that and could he send me so****ing. He basically repeated the same thing that in order for to receive a pledge kit, I would have to commit to it once I got it. I then told him that if he could not honor my request to mail out so****ing without making a commitment, then please take me off your calling list.Two days later, I got another call from another guy which basically went the same way as the first. I then said, "I'll tell you the same thing I told the last guy who called. I won't do a pledge until you mail me so****ing. A***n if you cannot honor my request to do that, please don't bother calling me a***n."Two days later, a young girl from that same organization called. I cut her off just as she was in mid-s***ch and said to her that I was not going to do anything over the phone. In fact, I requested to her to please take me off their list. She sounded a bit disappointed that I wasn't going to "give her her sale." But she honored my request and said that I won't be receiving anymore calls. To be honest with you, I really don't care if this girl was trying to meet her quota or not. She could very well harass the next person she calls.Then a few days later (I think it was last Friday), I got yet another call from the POF. I think it was the first guy I spoke with (I believe his name was Jason or James--I can't remember). What I do recall here is I got real ****ed off with the guy and told him that I asked not to be called anymore. I said, "Why is it that you keep calling? I asked you a couple of times to leave me the***** alone!" The guy became very apologetic to me, but I was way beyond that. In fact, I s****ed to insult the guy by asking him what part of DO NOT CALL doesn't he understand. He then said "I don't understand, what do you mean?" I then told him to just leave me the F**x (I won't say the full word here, but you know what I mean)! Then I slammed the phone real hard and good! I was real hot and angry!I haven't gotten a call since last Friday. But I should say that if they call a***n, I just won't answer.Has anyone else had this similar experience?

Just got second call from the 201 area code I fnally answerewd and he said hi this is james and ***g up. Weird

I just got home and had a message on my ma****e that s****ed out as static, then was a very annoyed man saying "Hello??  Hello??  HELLO????  Then he ***g up.  I googled the number and came up with this site.  Thank you for all the info, I will not be answering if he calls back.

This number call my house numerous times and finally asked my son for me by name....He told the guy that I just stepped out then he ***g up.I tried to call back the following day there was no answer.

very aggressive person claiming to be from the fraternal order of police and wanting a donation. When I asked him to send me information or a brochure from his organization so I could see if they were legit, he ***g up on me.

got a call, asked for my husband by name, real cranky, and demanding almost.  I said he is not available, he ***g up.  I called back and someone thanked me for returning the call.  I said I didn't return your call, it was someone else who ***g up.  They explained wanting mopney for police, I declined.  This is why I hate answering my phone!

Union City Caller ID wanted money for police fund. SCAM!

This is a boiler room operation calling, claiming to be raising money for NJ Law Enforcement. This is typical for these outfits--claiming to be raising money for so****ing patriotic such as "the police." Then the calling outfit keeps almost all of the money as "expenses," passing very little along to the stated charity. Don't fall for calls like this.

Me too..Yeah, I got a 'few' (e.g. calls) from the same number - 201-255-8168 - on my cell, which is redirected from my 'landline' (e.g. office) which I keep 'on busy' even when I am finally sleeping! I do that, because ****ody get's to speak to me 'Live' really - they'll have to leave a message,.. after putting up with my 'sales pitch' (e.g. greeting) which is rather lengthy.. Long story short,.. the call is from 'Dial-A-Girl' actually. Believe it or not,.. those f***'n stugatzs left a message for me. They said they researched (and found) my name & number via Google - thereafter visiting my web site www.mattymidura.com of course..  Which on the surface,.. is true - as presented. Finally, the 'fourth call' (and message) appeared to be 'personal' in nature, and out of the realm of how those solicitations generally are presented to those (e.g. as typically posted herein). This representative (i.e. Dial-A-Girl) addressed me by name,.. and all but 'begged me' to return her call - e.g. to her cell phone.Needless to say, I did not acquiesce. For 'she' heard my answering service (e.g. voice greeting) and, I can be reached via 'web forms' onlocation (www.mattymidura.com) as an alternative - plus I run scripts, and log the 'IP Addresses' of all web visitors (due to copyrighted material) in my site! Otherwise, and a***n,.. it's rather unusual to have a standardized solicitation (e.g. creditor or donation seekers) go out of professional character (if you call what they do, as such) and, have it morph into a 'personal matter' really.. The 'broad' e.g. telemarketer (who was '45' years old) wanted to actually date me! She (i.e. rep from Dial-A-Girl) apparently was rather persistent about getting a 'real time' response from me,.. so she used a 'web form' at one of my web sites! I tracked her 'IP Number' to Morristown in Central New Jersey - she used Verizon as the Internet connection. Long story short,.. she had issues with me being a '*****per' (part time) actually! And I'm thinking; "you're a f***'n telemarketer for an ****** service..." I am not a '**********' in any context,.. I freelance and show for 'small parties' hosted by 'older broads' selling adult toys! *** is not part of my job description - I am semi-**** and cell cameras must be shelved - my requirements - and no tou****g of me (e.g. private parts) period.. Anyway, the phone number 201-255-8168 is pretty much a 'call center' with clients that are related to 'debt collection' for the most part, but like radio stations and other media concerns - they'll contract with anyone! I am not a 'shill' for anyone,.. but 'Dial-A-Girl' may not be a bad way to go - if part of the service includes a 'kibble of blonde hash' and delivery (e.g. by D-A-G) too,.. of 'stuffed shells' and meat***** on the side... Received a call at 9:00 am Monday Morning July 26th 2010. Said he was from the Ferternal Order of Police and was doing a Fund Drive. I told him not to call my number a***n, that i was on the Do not Call List, and I do not accept such calls. He then ***g up.

He called and asked for my wife by name.  He sounded annoyed from his first word.  I said she wasn't available.  He then asked for me by name, and I said "speaking."  He ***g up.  I did a reverse lookup on the number, and it's unpublished, located in Union City, NJ.  As he now has a verified link to my name and phone number, I put a fraud alert on my credit report as a precaution and will have my wife do the same.

Caller said he was from Police Department asking for funds....told I would not do that over phone, he then asked how much I would be donating and he would send mail information....I ***g up!BE AWARE...NO POLICE ORGANIZATIONS OR DEPTS. SOLICIT FUNDS OVER THE PHONE!

I received a call from 201-255-8168 this evening. The caller said they were soliciting funds for the New Jersey State Police. The funds would go for more bullet-proof vests. If this is legitimate, I will gladly donate but, if this is a scam, I want to know and will then alert others.

This number called at 8:45pm. I let my answering ma****e get it. He ***g up before the message.P

I ansered the phone and the man on the other line spoke as if he knew my mom,when i adressed she was at work he askd to speak with my ***her...now my mother has her maiden name how would this person****ume she is married.. he quickly said he would call back later this week and ***g up before i could get a word in.When u try to return this call it goes to a mailbox that is full so u cant contact him..some people really fall for scams like this we did 2yrs ago and sent a check that was apparently going to our state police.now it seems we r on a calling list for more money...Boy i cant wait till he calls a***n:)  THESE TYPES OF PEOPLE NEED TO GET A REAL JOB AND MAKE AN HONEST LIVING ON THEIR OWN!!!!

Please put this man in jail. This guy has called me from different phone numbers and gets very mad when I tell him that I don't believe that he is from my town's police****ociation. I went to my police station and they told me that they don't call people over the phone for raising money. This guy uses our police force as a means to still from people.

Just to be clear, NO legitimate Police Union, PBA or otherwise, calls on the phone and asks fordonations. These are ALL scams. These thieves collect money and may give a ****n donationto a police fund, if they feel like it, to qualify under the law. Don't fall for this scheme!If you want to donate to your local Police Organization, contact them directly and they will bethankful for your help. -Veteran Police Officer and former PBA official.

This guy just called asking for my ***her and then said he would call back ad quickly ***gup when I said he was not in. Very sketchy. Thankfully I googled this and was able to warn my family about this random caller.

Yup... just got a call from a guy wanting to talk to us... he would give his name but wouldn't give any more information when pressed, he said he would call back later....  now everyone in the house knows not to respond to this.

I got a call from this too...they claimed to a****ociation that was collection funds for New Jersey policemen and provide bullet proof vests for them...didn't sound genuine to me...

got this call twice now. Man sounds annoyed that no one was there t talk to hin. No idea who it can be Don't know anyone in Union City NJ
