Leave a Comment2012574085 called. CLI showed as F W Publications.Person asked for somebody about a Fine Gardening subscription.Strange, because Fine Gardening is through Taunton Publications out of area code 203.Maybe this company has taken over the solicitation of subcriptions. That was a mouthful.Whatever, it's easy enough to call Taunton who are not into this kind of ****.
201.257.4085
Let it ring then ***g up
Be wary of this number. It is an unpublished landline in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ and F M Publications is not listed in business directory. They are using same MO as FAMS Credit Agency, which tries to scam folks with no debts, and their number is alternating with one of FAMS. My state's attorney general says to be very careful about these telemarketers that call people on do-not call lists as they are often fly by night scammers working out of someone's ba*****t or carport and move every few days/weeks.
i got a caa from this #, did not pick up. there is no message. I have letmy Artist magazine subscription expired
FW publications keeps calling me. They never leave a message. I screen my calls, because I had a sells company call before that recorded the conversation and then spliced the tape to make it sound like I order so****ing that I said no to. So don't talk to these people. They will read off your name number and address and ask you to confirm that they are correct, that way they have you on tape saying yes. They can splice that in to make it sound like you said yes to order so****ing.
****s up after 3 rings or if I try to answer the phone they **** up.
Calls every morning about 9:30AM, rings 3 X and then ****s up or ****s up when I try to answer. Never leaves a message
The caller is Dial America representing F W Publications wanting me to renew "Watercolor Magazine" I respectfully declined and asked to be removed from their call list.
I answered the call -- the telemarketer identified herself as an employee of Dial America representing F W Publications and she was calling for me to renew my subscription to "Watercolor Magazine", which I respectfully declined to do (for reasons mentioned in an earlier post). I asked to be removed from their call list (I anti****te a future call about "American Artist" which I have let lapse as well) so we'll see if they follow through.
****inks Amanda works for F W Publications! Actually, she's probably correct. I have let several of my art-focused magazine subscriptions lapse this year. Decided that saving money any way possible during a depression is more important. Besides, I can go to the li***ry or bookstore and read the latest issues-- which ****s two birds with one stone: save $$ and cheap entertainment!!
I HOPE THIS SOLVES THE MYSTERY...I got the call today. It's annoying when they don't leave messages! I kinda suspected it was for my subscription to Writer's Digest, because I recognized the name "F W Publications" from the Writer's Digest website (and I'm sure they run many other mags as well). My subscription to Writer's Digest recently ended, so I called them back, wanting to ask about renewal rates; got a recording verifying that it was, in fact, about renewing a magazine subscription. I've decided to renew online, though, just in case it might be someone else claiming to be them. Can't be too careful...SO, THIS SHOULD END THE QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS NUMBER:THE **REAL** F & W PUBLICATIONS IS DEFINITELY NOT A 'TELEMARKETER'. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU SUBSCRIBE TO ONE OF THEIR MAGAZINE AND IT'S ABOUT TO EXPIRE. AS FAR AS GETTING "DIAL AMERICA" AS STATED BY SOMEONE ELSE ABOVE, BIG COMPANIES (LIKE F & W) OFTEN HIRE TELESERVICES COMPANIES TO MAKE (AND RECEIVE) THEIR HIGH-VOLUME CALLS FOR THEM. THIS APPEARS TO BE THE CASE HERE. ***HOWEVER*** I WOULD ALWAYS RECOMMEND RENEWING MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS ONLINE (AT THE OFFICIAL, SECURE WEBSITE); BY POSTAL-MAILING IN YOUR RENEWAL NOTICE; OR BY CALLING THE NUMBER LISTING ON YOUR PUBLICATION, JUST TO BE SURE YOU'RE CALLING A LEGITIMATE NUMBER.
Received a call from this number, F+W Publications. I checked their website and I do subscribe to one of their publications. I sent them an email requesting that they remove my number from their call list. Stay Tuned!
Called, I answered, at 7 pm at night. No one on the other end.
Caller ID identifies as Conde Nast (?) Will not leave message and calls several times a day.
When I called this number back, a recording said that a customer service representative called me regarding renewing a magazine with F&W Publications and a representative will call me back unless I wanted to talk with someone right away. I have many magazine subscriptions and some came from F&W - so the mystery is solved!

This number just called, and as previously stated, did not leave a message. I found this site that matches the name on the Caller ID (http://www.fwpublications.com), but the 201 area code is NJ, and this company has no offices in NJ.
