This call comes to me 4-6 times a day. Since I do not recognize the name or number, I will not answer. I am afraid it is not a call I should answer.
The caller wanted to reward my use of my mastercard ending with **** and wanted to send me a gift card. I ***g up. Days earlier I had recieved another similar call. This happened shortly after placing an order online using the mastercard the callers reference: www.***pits.com. They either shared my information or are victims of phishing.
said it was a rewards program for my master card. couldn't understand the caller. sounded hispanic and talked terribly fast. ended up charging my checking account $150.00 dollars. called them to get money back. they were extremely rude. said they would only give us 1/2 back. going to have my credit union go after them. they said there was no way we would get the rest of our money back.
call and leaves no message, but keeps calling back.
This number calls my phone and I ******ly decided to answer it. It was explaining that I would recieve a $300 gas card, a $25 Walmart card and possibly a $1000 gift card for my visa usage. They had the wrong address for me to verify. I just ***g up.
Called me last week to "reward" me for my mastercard use. I (******ly) agreed to the one time charge of $3.97 for shipping/handling of a reward packet including $300 in gas rebates. I declined their other travel offers, yet lo and behold I have already received 3 charges of $3.97. Going to have to cancel my debit card. BEWARE!
I am From South Orange County CA and These People Constantly Interrupting My Evening When I Googled the Number it is somewhere in NJ I find it very strange that they are calling me I find it more strange that since I registered with The DNC Registry I have been getting more and more of these calls

Got two calls from this and an Illinois number with the same credit-card theft attempt. Also can verify the Gold Coast connection, and have lit them up about it.
Called my government work number, told me it was in regards to my credit card and needed some information. When I said if you aren't from my bank I have nothing to say to you and because you have called a government facility, I will report you--he ***g up.
They keep calling my cell phone telling me they want to send me a package. I asked their name and he said Chris Barker they gave me a web address of www.goldcoast.com in New York. I told them I have no credit card affiliated with them and told them to take me off their list. And put a Fraud alert on my credit.
called my cell phone when i answer it rings and then disconnects. If I call the number it just says all marketers are busy leave msg.
Would not take accept the fact that we said NO on the phone, and went through with transaction anyway without my consent. ***g up on me while I was still trying to tell him NO!

Calls my cell phone, ****s up. I'm going to c****e my number, or find out what my carrier can do first to stop it.
CALLS TO MY CELL PHONE, 3 CALLS IN 2 DAYS. WHEN I ANSWER NO ONE IS THERE.
continuously calls my cell phone 4-5 times a day and have left messages to the company to stop calling me.
this number called, she sounded from another country. Wanted to reward me for using my Visa..and gave me the last 4 digits of MY card!! From Gold Coast she said - wants to mail me some gift certificates for using my card. told them to take number off list and I will see what happens.
Same thing as everyone else. They "thanked me" for using a "Gold Coast Visa," so****ing I've never heard of, and wanted to give me a gift, yadda, yadda, yadda. Question for everyone else though. I think I know where they got my name/number and did anyone else place an online order immediately prior to the call? If so, without naming the company, what type of product did you order?
Same thing here. I answered one time, told the Indian guy I wasn't interested. I didn't even let him get any further than thank you for your continued use of your mastercard. I cut him off and told him I wasn't interested and requested they put me on their do not call list. I have received calls each day since then. I've s****ed calling them back leaving messages telling them to stop calling me and they are scammers who belong in jail! If I find out who they are, I will have this company reported to the FCC in a heartbeat! It's bad enough I get this on my home number, now I get it on my cell??? Come on!
When I answered this call, after the sixth time, they told me, "We see that you have been using your visa card regularly and would like to send a gift to thank you, can we get the rest of your card number ending in ...." I immediately told them to take my number off their calling list and to never call a***n. Little good did that do, it has been over two weeks of bothersome phone calls.
Give the last four digits of my credit card. I ask them to stop calling, but they just keep on reading the script. They won't give me where they have gotten my number.
I had the same experience as many of the other people on here. A person with a heavy indian accent called and thanked me for using my Visa card and "for being such a loyal customer"; He then offered me a $50 gas card, gas vouchers, etc. I asked immediately what the catch is and if he is trying to sign me up for some BS membership that I would have to cancel in a certain amount of time in order to avoid getting charged until eternity. He immediately kept****uring me that this is not the case and continued in his spill of reading the script in front of him. For kicks and to see how much he exactly has on information, I let him talk but as soon as I asked some questions he was getting defensive and just continued rattling off the script. He then punched a bunch of number on his keypad and I was transferred to some automated recording that explained I was enrolling into a program of $39.95 a month etc etc etc and for me to say "yes" if that was correct. I repeatedly demanded to cancel everything they may try to pull and when the guy came back on the phone I gave him a (not so friendly) piece of my mind. He actually had the nerve to ask why I don't want the program and refused to cancel whatever he illegally just did. I s****ed downright getting rude with this fellow, threatened to contact the authorities and get his a** prosecuted and his company charged with fraud if I ever hear back from him or find any su****ious activity on my account. I ***g up and then called the number back to get more info on that company. Unfortunately, all I got a recording that said "you've reached the marketing department, all our representatives are currently busy, leave a message with your name and telephone number and we'll return your call as soon as possible. They called me a***n today..THREE TIMES!!!! Whom do I have to contact to get these people charged?

So annoying!!!!!
They said they were from Visa and that I was getting a gas certificate all I had to do was pay $3. This is a scam to steal your credit card number. I am getting these calls from various numbers weekly now.
This is a spam call. I will never answer this a***n!
I also got a call this evening indicating this person was from Gold Coast. Same thing.........rewarding me for being a faithful Visa customer with card ending in ####. Told her I wasn't interested in any offers, and have reported this to my Visa company as well.
On the Do Not Call list, yet keep receiving unsolicited calls from this number.
201-257-4421. The woman caller s****ed off by thanking me for my long-time use of my visa card, and that I was being rewarded with a $25 gas card and a $125 cash voucher, along with some kind of gift card. I asked what Visa I don't have one. She said ends in #### and I was to receive a gift. I said not interested in any gifts and she ***g up. Caller ID said "GOLD COAST)
I've called this number while blocking my caller ID; An automated answer service always pick's up the line saying you've reached the marketing department, but i can never reach a live body. I've left messages-leaving my phone number-to stop calling and they still harass me. This is crazy. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have received calls three and more times a day from this 201-257-4421 (caller ID history shows 11 calls in the past three days). Have never answered and never been left a message. Sounds like we have been right to ignore them.
Asked for my husband, regarding his visa, I know for a fact he has no visa account. So, I did research and seen this Information.
SCAM - DO NOT TRUST CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER..Received call, didn't answer and thanks to this panel for explaining the trouble. http://j***nor.ordermygift.comhttp://j***nor.qhealthzone.com
Unfortunately, my son had gone through all the step with this caller and now I am to receive the stuff they offer. And from reading several examples from people, I know it's fraud. This happened yes****ay. what should I do?
I received a phone call from 201-257-4421. The lady with an accent said the exact same as the first message on this board. I however broke in on her and asked who she was with she said, Today's Escapes. I googled the number and Today's Escapes. I did not give her a chance to go through her whole routine, but be warned she tryed hard to get me to agree.
I constantly get calls from this number..shows up as AVA..I keep ignoring the calls, they never leave a message. Thanks for posting now I know I too will mess with them. I am on the DNC list so I will be sure to state that as well. Thanks to all of you for taking the time to post it does help others!
This number calls all the time. Shows as AVA on ID. When I do answer, they **** up.
I too have recieved numerous calls from this number. They try and sell some program claiming to be from my credit card company. Same as above. I've informed them not to call me a***n, and that my number is on the do not call list. Just recieved another call today but ***ody spoke when I answered. Normally the id says AVA, but occasionally it says "Hasbrouck He NJ".
I got a call from this number today as well since I don't know the number I don't answer it. Thanks for the information about this number though. It just goes to show you can't just casually answer your phone like you did in the past with all these harassing callers trying to scam you out of money. Its just ridiculous! The government should ban all marketing, scammers, etc. from calling anyone and make it a***nst the law!
my nanny called me at work today to let me know that someone from AVI called about an important message for me about my credit card? i had her give me the phone number she said that the guy on the other line wouldn't give her a number or name to call back but they would call me later today the funny thing is that i dont have a credit card and never have so i filled out an online police report about the incident and i will be happy to let them know that i did this when they call me back. also when i called this number back the recording says : you have reached out marketing department ( not leaving a company name ) the want you to leave all your information including your phone, first and last name, address and city you live in ( what a joke ) i called three times in a row and not once did someone pick up the **** phone.
They've called numerous times in last 6 months and I've refused to pick up. Finally I did on 1/18/08. Pitched thanking me for good use of my Visa card, mentioned some company called Avalon and I immediately asked them to place me on their "Do Not Call list". Today, two days later they've called a***n.I just registered with the National Do Not Call Registry. Now I'll wait 31 days, see if they call after that and report them if they do.That's all we consumers can do.
I have been getting a lot of calls from this number (201-257-4421)with the callerID as AVA lately. Fortunately, I have either been away from home or too busy to answer the phone. I****ume that my number has been programmed in a predictive dialer. My guess is the calls will persist until I answer. It is good to know that this recent caller is not an old college buddy tracking me down, so I will make the call a short one when they call back.
I have received several calls from this number with the promise of a free gas gift card. Toward the end of the first call, they asked for my birthday. On the second call, I let the woman (with a foreign accent) talk for about three minutes to which I never responded. She finally ***g up. This is getting very annoying...
Called me,trying to obtain credit card info, calling it a courtesy call
They my house all day and all night I want them to stop calling
I got the same scam....... free money card..... free gas! Just give me you address and your credit card info and we'll charge you ONE DOLLAR ONLY!
Haven't answered any of these calls, since I don't know the number. Really appreciate finding this site and all of your remarks. Thanks!

I got the same phone call!! I answered it once and was told the same information as everyone else. It has been over a month and im still receiving these calls but I am not answering them. Im not too worried that they have any information that they can do anything with since that is what they are obviously calling for. Just dont fall for this it is definitely a scam!
I've received several calls from this number but haven't answered until yes****ay (by accident). I have call waiting and, while on the line with someone else, I answered an incoming call and it was this company. The gal had an Indian accent and said she was calling to thank me for using my credit card for so long and "for being such a loyal long-time customer." I, too, was offered a $25 gas card and some other "free" things and was told there was just a $1 shipping fee. I asked several times what company she worked for but I couldn't understand her reply. I told her to please not send me anything and that I had to go because I was on the other line. Today I see on my called ID history that they've called three times.
I too have rec'd these calls from 201-257-4421. I did answer once and he said he had only the last 4 digits on my charge card after I asked him how he got my phone number (he said from a credit card purchase online; I then I asked what credit card then asked for the number). I immediately said he was involved in a scam and should find another job right away. I said he was obviously a foreigner and perhaps he did not know the laws of this country and he could get into great trouble. He immediately ***g up though I am still receiving the calls (that I don't answer). My number is totally unlisted as I don't have phone under my name but he used my name. He said he got it all from a delivery due to a charge card purchase online (he got my name, phone number, delivery address and last 4 digits of my charge card from that purchase). I have cancelled that charge card. I do order online frequently but will stop. Where do we report this type of activity, the Attorney General of New Jersey? If he can get all this information, anyone can, right?
This caller calls several times a day. They never leave a message. It is very annoying and I would like for them to stop calling. When I see the number I do not answer the phone either.
every day they call 2or 3 times aday. who are these people
They call me on my work # 2 to 3 times a month. It is always a pushy guy with a heavy accent. I have taken to ignoring the call (thanks to caller id) or telling them I am not available - I never answer the phone with my name so they have no idea how they are talking to. The company name normally shows up as AVA, but I think a few months ago, the name was different. They likely c****e names often.
Same story here as those I've read... I get 5 or 6 calls from this number every day, but didn't answer (at first because I was at work, and later because I thought it might be an angry ex). Anyway, I googled it and found this site, and now I'm glad I didn't pick up. If he calls back, I'm going to tell him to get a real job.
Same exact details as the person described above. The only difference is I was messing with them from the get go and when I mentioned them speaking to the Sheriff that was setting next to me they made out like they could not hear me and then eventually ***g up the phone. I never have had a credit card so this is what tipped me off when they said I had a 4 digit number on my card they were looking at. They have called me twice and both times they have had foreign accents and have came up on my caller ID as AVA. Both times a woman has called me.
I dont pick up my phone from area codes I dont know unless they leave a message but I first got one from 231-224-2074 and another a few hours later from 201-257-4421. I looked the both up and they have real similar stories, so Im guessing there both realated since I dont ever get these kinds of phone calls and suddenly, I get 2.
The caller s****ed off by thanking me for my long-time use of my visa card, and that I was being rewarded for said use with a $25 gas card and a $125 cash voucher, along with some kind of gift card. "All you have to do", he said "is pay a hipping fee of $1." I asked him which card I was being rewarded for using. I asked what address the package would be sent to, and the address he provided was the address I currently reside in, but I have never once had any type of bank account, credit card, and/or anything else registered under that address. I then asked which particular card was winning me the package, and he replied "the card ending in **** (obviously he used actual numbers). I know for a fact that I have never had any card, credit or debit, or any type of account, ending in those numbers. He became more and more agitated and nervous as my questions persisted. He eventually cut me of in the middle of one of my questions, saying "you know what? that's ok, have a nice day." He never once provided his name or disclosed what company he was calling from. Provided, I didn't ask him for either of those, as I should have, but any type of legitimate, professional call would s**** off with that information, and certainly wouldn't take on the tone of voice as this man did. ***On a personal note, this type of crime/scam gets under my skin to an untold level. Faceless people lying to you in order to steel your money, as opposed to earning it the honest way. Those people make me sick, and I would love to see them in jail. I am willing to help out in any way possible.
This person with a heavy indian accent called and thanked me for using my credit card for so long and 'for being such a loyal long-time member", he then offered me a $25 gas card, $125 gas voucher, and some sort of discount card for a shipping fee of only one dollar. The miniscule shipping fee alone put up a huge red flag. Why charge $1 for shipping when you're giving away $150 in gas, plus the discount card? I then began to ask a few questions about how this came to be and the process as a whole. With each question, he seemed to get more and more agitated and nervous. I asked him what address my package would be shipped to, and he replied "the address that your credit card is registered under." I asked him what address that was, and it was indeed that address that I currently live at, but I have never once registered a card under this particular address. I refused the package, and he quickly ***g up. I then called the number back, and I got a recording that said "you've reached the marketing department, all our representatives are currently busy, leave a message with your name and telephone number and we'll return your call as soon as possible." THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM AND THEY NEED TO BE ARRESTED AND PROSECUTED!!!
I received two back to back phone calls from this number. Since I did not recognize the number (or the area code), I googled it and believe it or not NOTHING came up. I don't answer calls from numbers that I do not know. I just want the calls to stop. I, too, am on the Do Not Call Registry and this is the only number that have gotten any calls from that I don't recognize.
Well actually, I received this call but didnt answer because I was at work. I keep my phone out of my pocket and it was on vi***te in my desk drawer so I didnt even hear it. When I call it back, it says "The the inbox is full so it cannot accept anymore messages." Since I usually dont get calls from numbers I dont already have in my phonebook, I googled this number already****uming it was another scam of some sort of. I registered my phone number on the National Do Not Call Registry but I guess that doesnt work. If anyone has some more information as to what this number is,please update us...Thanks
Yeah, I have gotten over 6 calls from this number over the course of 3 days at random times and I refused to answer any of them until today and found out it was another scheme for gas cards. The caller has a heavy Indian accent and spoke so fast you could barely understand him. It is a New Jersey area code and but couldn't find out the company because he refused to tell me. I guess being on the National Do Not Call registry means nothing just as I had thought.
