THIS PEOPLE CALLED ME IN PUERTO RICO!! I HAVE NEVER LIVED IN THE USA.

I picked up and I was totally silent, knowing if it was a real person they'd say "Hello."  Waited for a long time while checking for the number and found this site.  Eventually it just ***g up -- very obviously a ma****e, and glad to see the info here.One thing I've been doing lately when I get calls from bill collectors, since some are now calling from local numbers (I think because people like me ignore the toll-free ones -- it's the same old "If - this - is - DAVID - **** - please - press - one" etc., just from a local number), is once I get one, I save it in my contacts list under the name Ignore 1, Ignore 2, Ignore 3, etc. so when I get a local area-code call from a number I don't recognize, I don't have to try to remember if it's that bill collector number or someone I met at a bar the night before.

Multiple calls from a ***t group. Other number was 201-297-4646. No messages left. I am on the DO NOT CALL list, apparently they don't care.

This is state farm bill collectors.

I thought this number looked familiar, but it didn't match anyone I knew, or had known. No message was left. The call came in at 10:45 EST on a day that I wouldn't ordinarily be at the receiving number during that time. I don't have unpaid tickets, nor do I have debt. I figure that this is probably a marketing company that is using an illegal dialing system.

It's just another collector for past due—out of (your) state—parking fines and/or any other money that someone is trying to collect. There are no messages left because there is a recording that is voice activated and runs you through a list of options; Press 1 if this is so and so, press 2 if they are not home, etc.I'm in MA, and this is probably the third collector that's been after me for a bogus parking fine from RI. Nothing to worry about here folks. Just don't go s***ding in any states you have unpaid tickets in!Ciao.
