Leave a Commentalso watch out for 201-301-2788. wanted info over the phone. claimed they had all my info and wanted to "verify" but when asked for them to tell me what info they had, the info was not correct. also heard kids screaming and playing in the background. beware!
Kept recieving phone calls from an 866# and blocked ALL 866#'s and then s****ed with the same calls from the 201-298-1678.After reading July 13ths response from John, I called 1-866-362-5659 which I found on Scholastic Funding Group's website and asked for an agent to remove me from their list, they said they would comply.I did mention to them I did a search on the internet on their phone number and got their name.try it, it may work
Telemarketer Scam from 201-298-1678
They called me regarding my student loans I have. I told them to not call a***n and if the do I was going to sue them for harassment and the phone operator s****ed to get huffy like "your going to sue me" than I ***g up on them. I hope they don't call a***n otherwise they are going to get the cussing of a lifetime.David
I got soooo sick of them calling me after I've told them i am not interested and to stop calling But they keep calling so I told them that the person they are calling no longer has this phone number and they still called back.
I didn't answer and they called back 4 times in under 20 minutesso I came here to check it out I'm glad I did!!
They have tried twice today but a total of 4 times in the last six months. I sick of their s**t. I told them to stop calling but a few months later they call a***n.
Repeated call with no one on the line
They fed me some story about student loans and then asked for my SSN. Honestly? Good try, but I'd quite like to keep my iden***y to myself, thanks. The second time they called, I told the guy that I wasn't interested in whatever his "organization" was trying to sell me, and that they should never call me a***n, so we'll see if that works. Based on the prior postings I've read here, maybe it won't. Definitely some kind of scam - no one legitimate is going to call you up and ask for your SSN over the phone.
Here is the scoop. Michael Barnes, who is the registrant of their domain, is part of teramedia group. His group is the group that sells these people your information. Do not believe me? check out this link. http://www.teramedia.com/clients.html Also please do a whois search at http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp and type in scholasticfundinggroup.com. His name and his company's address is on it. I say we call teramedia and get our names off the source. Their number is (407) 420-1108 and you can email them at [email protected]. I hope this helps.
