Leave a CommentFor the most part, you are probably the person they want to reach. If you failed to pay a debt and its been a long time, in many cases over 7 years, It should be wiped from your credit report as is the law so in reality its gone. What they do is they will purchase the debt (which is not really the case of paying the bank or w***ver the whole amount owed but 2 cents on the dollar hoping to collect whatever they can. So they purchase the paperwork of the debt hoping to convince you they represent the original bank or w***ver you did not pay, which they state or put on a letter sent to you, even though the time frame for collecting the debt has passed (7 years) hoping to get you to sign or agree to anything so they can re-s**** the whole process over a***n and then they can put their claim on your credit report for another 7 years. They are not trying to get you pay anything to give to the original company you did not pay. The whole amount goes into their pocket. You have to remember, if the bank or w***ver you did not pay kept good records you probably gave them several numbers (parents, family members etc) to reach if needed. So they now have these numbers and will call everyone to get you to give in and agree to work out some arrangement when you do not have to do anything with them. The original company you did not pay wrote you off a long time ago and somehow probably got that money from the gov. in insurance coverage and also filing their taxes as a loss. They get it back somehow. And considering if the Fed or Gov had to pay the tab, who cares. We seem to be supporting everyone else in the world free of charge so why not you! You paid some taxes at one point in your life so its only fair. Just remember this company now calling you has no real claim over this other then they bought it from some other debt collector that tried in the past and gave up so now they are taking a chance. Put your two year old on the phone with them when they call or just spend the extra bucks and get a new number and keep it unlisted. Just remember when they call you have no idea what they are talking about and only send a letter stating I have no idea why you are calling me so stop. Even if you remember the debt or you actually paid someone else a portion of it thinking it was now gone, if you put so****ing in writing referring to it, it opens the door to them claiming you admit to it. Never never send a letter unless you claim you have no idea what the heck this is about and stop calling. And that's it. Sometimes I read on sites people tell you to send a letter making a claim about the debt and stating its paid or whatever and those people are actually working for the debt collectors. You can only hope there actually is a***** because if so, the guys at ASTA funding will be rotting in it.
please stop calling this number, we just got this number. you are dialing the wrong number
Another call from the same Ast Funding. I don't answer this call. I don't know them at all.
Caller ID says "Asta Funding" & the very poor quality recording tells me they are looking for Sara Rodriguez. I'm not her and don't know her. I am tired of debt collector calls. When will they ever learn that most, if not all, phone numbers they have are WRONG! It's not difficult to make up a phone number!
Please stop calling my house with the same recording no one lives here by that name your looking for....
This company is registered in Texas.I called the Law Li***ry and the law says that a bill collector has 4 years to file a law suit to collect a debt.To get them to stop calling I will have to send a letter in writing....but I don't have to send them my signature....one of their collectors wanted it to compare....I think this is really strange.... but to get them to stop calling.... I have to send the letter...
I called the District Attorney's Office about this company.Their recommendation was to first check to see if they are registered in the state to collect debt.512-463-5770Then they gave me a number where someone will research the law to see how old or how long a debt can be collected on512-463-1722 Law Li***ryThese people claim there is a debt from 1984..... they are collecting on.....that I have no idea what it would be..... so now I have to spend time on so****ing that I am **** sure is not real....
ASTA purchases debts for about 4 cents on the dollar, in hopes of collecting about 8 cents per debt. The company is a closely held, very profitable company, Why not invest in the company, rather than pay them? Contact Robert Michel, Chief Financial Officer @ [email protected] for a prospective and earn money, rather than pay money, like they do!
Yet another call. I never respond to them.
I received a call from the same number - They left a message an ID number and Ref # - but this company gives no other information. besides that the same number is calling my mother in and the their message indicates my husband name and ID # - odd since my husband lives with me for the last 20 years and we have no idea what this company is after.
ASTA Funding?
They keep calling my number asking for someone I don't know and won't stop.
I don't know why they keep calling me, MAKE IT STOP!!!
The ID on caller ID said Asta funding. Odd name for a debt collector don't you think?
A recorded message to call Palisaides Collection at an 800 number, with a reference number
Asta FundingCollector in NJ
I did not pick up the phone. I saw the number and it also said ASTA Funding. I have no business with them, and I will not respond to these types of telemarketing calls.
phone rang, picked up, no one on line. Only got one call and Log shows two calls one minute apart at 2:57pm and 2:58pm
@DianaRoss pay your bills... and regardless of the color of the bill collector they wont be calling you!!

I don't have any dues to any one. The name you are mentioning is also not mine. May be old customer of this phone. Please stop calling.Venkata
For anyone who cares the company calling is Palisade Collections, not verizon
Very ignorant Verizon collectors, they have no formal education, very rude and more than likely black!
No one on the line.
