For the past 2 days I have been getting around 7 calls a day from this number. I answer and there is just dead silence until a recording says leave a message or press 9 to be removed from our calling list. I press 9 of course and it doesn't work. What can I do about this?

Trying to get credit card info. Fraud scam to steal inden***y, money, etc.
They just called and said they were a Visa services company and inquired about my credit card (Which he had the last 4 numbers of) and wanted me to verify an address. He said he was going to send me a packet with 300 dollars of gas cards, and roadside****istance and other coupons or wherever that I already spend money. He said they would just charge like a $3.95 for the shipping to send it to me. I told him no and he kept pushing it and pushing it, and I told him no and just ***g up while he still tried to keep talking. So****ing about preferred customers are getting this or whatever. I called back too and got some old lady that sounded like hick trailor trash telling me to leave a name and number then press 9 to get off the mailing list. He actually had my address of where I used to live and was connected to that card so I just said "yeah, that's it" even though I don't live there anymore... Just don't give them any information!!!!
calling and didn't leave messege
I got a call from these guys last week - offered me free gas cards for nothing. I felt very su****ious about the caller knowing my credit card last 4 digits, so I didn't give them a definitive yes or no until I knew more about this offer. I'm thankful this site posted information on this. They've been calling everyday to get my ok to send the gas cards. Now I know I'll refuse the offer... thanks
I've gotten the same call 3 times, twice today and one last evening. The first time I answered no one said anything. It was just noise...weird..but now I know.
Same here. Received 5 phone calls from these people in the last 2 days. I will not pick up. I have no time for these scam artists.....
I have had 3 differnt #'s call my cell and also an unknown #. All repeatly and over then span of acouple weeks. Finally picked up a call and same thing. Gas card if I paid $2 shipping. Scam.

The person called me up. First thing he asked was my first name. The 2nd question he asked was my last 4 digits on my credit card. They were correct, and then he told me one of his telemarketing partners sold him my information. 3rd thing he asked was do I read my bank statement. I said I sure as***** don't want to discuss it with him. I asked him who sold him my information, what company? He immediately replied thank you and ***g up the phone! Cowards like that belong in prison for trying to make money off of my card! Why does my country allow companies like this to flurish is beyond me! I want these guys arrested! The company that I bought so****ing from sold them that information I want them arrested too.
Think about! This is a special opportunity! I will be waiting for you! You have a little bit more than an hour!
Calls 4 - 6 times daily, including weekends. Verbally strong-arms the sending of coupons for gasoline which automatically s****s monthly deductions from my bank account for various other great deals.
A woman called me three times today but i missed them. When i called back, I found it very strange. she asked me to record a message. I looked it up on internet and found the same problem with all of you. I think I'd better be careful about this phone number and remove my name from their calling list. Still feel strange....
same as chuck, who commented above.
This phone number has called my cell 10 times for the last few days. I finally got annoyed and answered the call. He said he was from my visa company and were going to send me a $50 gas card if he could verify my personal information. I've heard way too many scams and I'm not falling for that one.
this number has called my work phone 8 times since last Friday, left no messages. I will not call it back nor answer it. It shows up as V MARK on caller id.Sounds like a scam as usual with these things...
This number has called me 6 times in less than 2 hours. They call but don't leave a voicemail and when I call back it's some old lady saying "sorry i missed your call but your call is important to me, please leave a message or press 9 to be removed from our call list." I pressed 9 but they kept calling back. The last phone call, I was finally able to pick up and I heard noise in the background and I yelled "stop calling me." This happened to me a few months ago with a different number and I was harrassed for several days but it was right after I put an ad in the local newspaper but I don't know why this number is calling; I had to get a new number last time and there was nothing the police or Verizon could do. I've had it!
keeps calling my cell and no message, and when you call back says press 9 to be removed from list. still calling
never answered just got on here and typed number in google and led me here
Received a call offering a free gas card. Said that I was on do not call list. They said I was not for this number. I said I was not interested. I they kept talking, I finally ***g up.
File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, Office of Consumer Protection, to help stop them from harrassing other people!https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
Same deal as mentioned on this page. They called my cell phone, which is supposed to be off-limits to telemarketers. What scammers.
I just received the same phone call. Called my credit card company and cancelled my card. I'm not taking any chances.
they called and left a message it was just 2 black women talking in the back ground that was it. They called twice and also a unknown number called me every hour but when i answer they **** up and it ****es me off....i own no bills so i have no idea what the***** they want.
I've received the same call twice today- did not pick up. The only connection I cna make is that I joined reunion.com late week. Maybe they are the "preferred" custoerm for this V Mark company.
So I received the same call. Spoke to an elderly gentlemen who said as "A Preferred Visa Card customer" they would like to offer me a $50 gas card if I would hold the line someone would verify my current address. Instead, that person tried to sell me a bunch of **** - but of course - she spoke faster than an auctioneer. When I slowed her down and asked how much the "shipping" was she told me $3.99 for this item and $4.99 for that item. (it was for discount airline tickets/discounts at Best Buy/some ****** product...etc.) When I told her I did not want it. She continued with ...it will be billed to your account and if you want to call to cancel the membership you can but you still get the extra $50 gas card - now equaling $100 in gas....I repeated myself very slowly and said I DO NOT WANT IT. She snapped back that she heard me and that I do not need to talk to her like she is a child. I laughed and ***g up. However, after giving it some thought, I called my credit card company and we are monitoring my charges. I also had written down one of the numbers she rattled off (I speak fast too!) it was to Direct Discount Club. I googled them and called - found their website www.savingsdiscount.com and than called at 877-807-2392 - when I waited on the line it disconnected so I called back and pressed 1. I actually got a girl named Jen. I told her that I did not have a membership number however, I received a call and wanted to ensure that I would not be billed for these items. She asked when I was called and I told her 10 minutes ago. She said I would have to wait 3 days before anything would hit her computer..........So that is where I am........hopefully this helps someone else!!!
The person from this no. called and stated the same information about my cc# and I could get a free gas card. I said you called my place of employment and she was very rude and said this is the no. you have as a contact you should not put it on there if you don't want to be called. I am just doing my job.
I answered the phone with "Thanks for calling {fake company name}, how can I direct your call".Caller asked for me by name. I responded that there is ***ody working here by that name. They asked a***n and I responded that this is a business and there is ***ody working here by that name. Caller ***g up.I've been receiving these calls for over a week and have ignored them all until today.
I didn't pick up the phone because I didn't recognize the number (201-334-9162). I did a search for this number out of su****ion because this number was calling frequently. The same caller, V Mark, was calling me with a different number (1-817-764-2864) last week. My AT&T call block automated service said I was not able to use call block for these numbers. Does anyone who has been getting these calls use Visa for your PayPal account? I'm trying to find out the source of the leak of private information.
a man called from 201-334-9162 and said i had made a purchase with one of their selected customers. they said i would be receiving a $60.00 gas card in the mail. they had the last four digits of my credit card number and they told me i would also be getting a brochure in the mail that i could "throw away or burn" if i didnt want it. the man was very rude. he told me that a $2.00 shipping charge would be****essed to my card. i told him i was not interested and he told me i would be "******" not to accept the offer. my ***her in law got on the phone to tell him not to call a***n and the guy just laughed at him. this is totally a scam!
They have been calling me for about 5 days straight I finally picked up the phone and they said they had a $100 gas card for me and I told them the card was no longer valid and they ***g up. How can businesses get away with doing things like this?
This caller has called me three times this week. They do not leave a message but their phone number is there. I called them once and all I got was a recording that said thank you for calling please leave your name and number and we will call you back. No Company name or anything. This evening they called a***n and I answered it and they said they were Vista Services and they were calling regarding my credit card. They wanted me to give info over the phone.
They said they were calling to offer me because I had recently made a VISA purchase from their client, but wouldn't identify themselves or their client. They had the last four digits of my credit card and my current address and said they were sending me a $60 gas card.
this number keep calling twice a day without leave msg and or **** up
dont know who
This number called my cell phone, and never leaves a message, calls quite a few times.
Ironically, I received this same call today about 3 times. The phone number is a recording asking you to remove your name from their calling list if you aren't interested. I also received a check in the mail for $10.00 for the AutoVantage program. The catch is if you cash the check they will charge your credit card for 149.99 and after the first year 159.99. So if anyone out there reads this, do not cash anything you receive from AutoVantage.
These are the same people who call the 801-823-2027 number that people have been complaining about. They said they were from VISA and was calling to offer you a gas card for special customers. They have the last four digits of your credit card. They also had my last address and wanted my new address so they could send me a $60 gas card. I said I don't have a car and don't know anyone who has a card so I don't need it. Had the feeling it was a scam but wasn't sure until I read all those other posts. This may be entirely unrelated but since I was feeling uneasy they had all this info about me, I checked my credit card statement. I had a $89 charge from AutoVantage from a card I hadn't used in 6 months. They said they mailed me a promotion and I mailed it back and was automatically enrolled - how did they get my credit card info?!??! Sooo frustrating!!!
This number called my cell phone but did not leave a message. When I call the number, it just says thanks for calling and to leave a message or press 9 to be removed from mailing list. Did not even have a company name, just a voicemail!
