received many calls, but they are not responding

I keep receiving these annoying calls so I am advised to register with www.donotcall.gov. I think they got my number when I responded to an university grant offer via internet. Caveat Emptor.

they just keep calling and do not say anything, but they call constantly!!!

So w***ver is calling will tell you that the government will give you a grant when you submit a proposal to submit the proposal you will need to get the username and password on their website and will cost only about $2 or sth like that. I told them Im not comfortable giving my card information or anything and they said that they will help give away a prepaid debit card. I think this is a scam so don't give out your card information or anything!

I just got a call from these people. I have been looking for grants online, so I firgured it was one that I had applied for. They say they are Grant club gold. Just hope it doesn't cost me more than the $2.97 to get my account set up.

Yeah. These people are calling me as well. I mean isn't that kinda wrong to harass a 17 year old?? I'm a mother and I really don't feel like getting harassed. I get atleast 20 calls from these people in one day!! And they s****ed a couple days ago. And I would threaten them but everytime I answer either they **** up first thing or its just silent. Its annoying. So does anyone have any clue what to do??

recieved 19 calls in 2 days cell company says that i have to buy a blocking service which cost 4.99 a mnth.

I got the my first call 2 days ago on my cell phone, and answered it thinking it was someone asking for a reference(my friend applied for a bunch of jobs and listed me). I answered it and they asked for some random person, and I said wrong number goodbye. She said hold on we would like to extend this offer to you about some free government grant that I would not have to pay back, I said not interested and ***g up. That was at 7:30pm on july 19th. The next morning I got 2 calls from the same number s****ing at 8am, and missed the first couple. Not thinking as is the usual case when I first wake up I didn't realize it was the same number as the day before and s****ed to think about who I knew jersey that would be calling me(girlfriends parents and family are from jersey). So i called the number back and got a prompt message "thanks for calling our customer service number(no name given of company), press 1 for customer support, press 2 to be added to our do not call list". ******ly I hit 2 thinking I would be removed. This was NOT the case, I continued to receive calls all morning long with no one on the line when I answered.I contacted my phone company(AT&T) and asked what could be done on their end to prevent me from receiving these calls, and they offered 2 solutions, pay 5 bucks a month for them to block it(they should block it for free as a paying customer) or email the FTC. Well I went to the FTC website, registered for the do not call list and filed a complaint with a worker over there by phone. Meanwhile on the phone with both AT&T and the FTC I received 9 more phone calls from this number. Some how (I****uming completely unrelated to both of those calls I placed) they stopped calling me.....until today I have now received 5 phone calls in the past 30 minutes from this number and I am strongly irratated.I feel like these people are nigerian scammers or so****ing, reading the posts from before if I ever answer the phone from these people I plan I telling them I am "richard nixon" of 1600 pennsylvania ave. Washington D.C. and if they ask for a credit card I'll casually reply let me just bust out my presidental mastercard. Anyone else got idea's on how to fight back?

these guys called me on my cell phone, I did not pick up in time then when I saw the unfamilar number I checked the reverse phone number check, and found even more reason to be glad I did not answer the phone.  thanks guys!

ive gotten several kals from them and a foriegn lady asks if i have applied for federal grants..which i have for my schooling next month and then asks for a $2 fee from my card inorder to access their web site...so bogus

this person constaly calling my phone even though my voicemail box says my name instead of the person they are looking for. NO MEANS NO . she's been calling for almost 3 weeks. errrrr ignorant.

Hey everyone,  I turned this number into the North Carolina Attorney General for calling me as much as 6 times a day on my home and cell number.  They must have ****ed a knot in someone's rear because I received a message from Medco that I had been taken off their list until the year 2999,  yea, 2999.

I don't know who keeps calling but they would **** up on me. They call about every hour or so, which it's been happening two-three weeks now. I try to ignore it but they s**** calling all day.

I got ****ed into this thinking $2.95 to get a grant booklet would be fine, then they said I could have some kind of 7 day trial membership to search for grants but never got the e-mail and now I have been charged $68!!! any advice on what to do?

i got a call late Friday evening and the lady with communication problems asked if i applied for some type of government loans. What company calls after 9 PM EST??? SCAM!!! She also knew my address and attempted to verify it. On top of all a fraudulent activity has been finally revealed on my Amazon credit card this past week.

These fockers keep calling me too and never leaving a voice message. Luckily I saw this thread, now I know who they are. They have been exposed.

This is a scam number designed to get you to do so****ing. They ask you to put your number on their "Do Not Call List" which of course I did because they called six times in a row and you can't get anyone on the "customer service" line. I am sure it is a scam.

This is a Scam, They will Call you from many Many numbers i have blocked them  a few times and they keep calling back asking me to give them my Credit card info..
