The first time I received a call on my cell phone from this "company," I ***g up and tried to call it back, both with and without the * before the number. I could not get connected to any phone. The second time, as the recording was still going on, I pressed "1" like someone who would want to make an appointment to get carpets cleaned. A male voice with an accent from India answered and asked if I had called before. When I asked to have my number removed from the calling list, he ***g up on me.

this number keeps calling- never leaves a message. my number is on the do not call list- how do they get thru?

On 06/23/08 at 12:38 pm I received a telemarketing call on my mobile phone. The call was a recording offering carpet cleaning services. My pnone number was put on the National Do Not Call Registry in February 2008. I filed a complaint on that site about receiving the call.

Call received at 12:08 PM EDT on 6/23/08 on my personal mobile phone (registered with the Federal DNC for several years). Caller was a voice recording soliciting commercial services for carpet cleaning (illegal to do so). After listening to the entire message, I was invited to press "1" to talk to a live person. When connected, I asked for her name (supposedly "Lindsey"). I also inquired about the company name and location (supposedly "Carpet Care" of Teaneck, NJ). When attempted to get more info, she ***g up on me. Reverse lookup has the phone number as a unlisted land line in Westwood, NJ. There is no company "Carpet Care" in Teaneck, NJ according to all my searches online. I have made an official DNC complaint at: https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx (so should you).

Got a cleaning service ma****e to call. I went and decided to see if I could talk to a real person by pressing 1.. I did get a real person but when I asked how they got my number the lady on the other phone just ***g up.

got a call on 6/23 at 1:05pm.  this went to my private cell, which was forwarded to my work cell.  the number was 201-497-1918, i didn't pick up, and no message was left.  i had inquired about housekeeping services through two local agencies - they don't have this tel # but maybe they gave it out.  my cell & work cell are registered on the do not call list.

On 06/23/08 at 12:38 pm I received a call on my mobile phone from 201-497-1918.  The call was a recording offering carpet cleaning services.  My number has been listed on the National Do Not Call Registry since 02/23/08.  I never give out my mobile phone number so they must be using a consecutive number dialing program.

I don't want these people calling me. I dont want my carpets cleaned, I have wood floors. If they dont get a callback obviously the business is not wanted. DO NOT CALL.

It's a ****** automatic dialer, illegal in the state of NJ except for political campaigns. And this **** is selling carpet cleaning. Someone shut them down!

carpet cleaning service called and said if I dial "1" I'll get the hallways done for free. When I dialed "1" Linsey answered, when I asked why they were calling my cell phone she ***g up????

Received an unsolicited telemarketing call from this number on my cell phone. It was a recording of an adverti*****t for carpet cleaning service. Since it was a recording , not a live person , I could not ask them to remove my number from their list.

Called on my cell. I did not pick up but googled it and got it as a telemarketer. Found the same number in the complaints here.

Their recording called me at 2:10pm on my cell phone... while at work... during PEAK hours.  I usually don't answer numbers I don't recognize, but I have a family member in the hospital and doctors have been calling me from all different numbers.  When I heard the recording, I was beyond angry.  How DARE they call me on my cell phone... I want to know who they are and let them know how I REALLY feel!!!!

Got call from 201-497-1918. Pressed one and spoke with "Lindsey" when I said why are you calling my cell phone she ***g up. Got to report this to somebody. Joe K

I received a call from this number at 2:15 (a little over an hour ago).  I waited through the message and pressed "1" at the end to "schedule a cleaning".  I got a real person on the line, and asked that I be removed from the calling list.  They ***g up on me (big surprise).

Same here.  12:30 EST to be exact.  I too am on the Do Not Call list.

Also got a call from this number at 11:37 am and they left a VM. I am on the DO NOT CALL listing as well.

spam telemarketing phone calls which i did not authorize.  I am certain that under the laws enacted within the last several years these types of calls are not only unwarranted but are a***nst the laws of this country.  If I do not find a person to speak to who is responsible for these calls I will take the appropriate action.Very truly yours,   Mark

I just got a unsolicited call from 201-497-1918 also on 6/18/08 at 11:25am on my cell phone
