We declared bankruptcy in Canada in 2004 while owing to bank of america (then Nation's Bank). I **** this loan working in the US. Bottom of our finances fell out and we were forced to declare bankruptcy. I started receiving calls when I cam back to Los Angelese in 2006 for work. I told told them about the bankruptcy I stopped picking up the phone when saw their caller Id. After so long, now these idiots at 201-643-7838 got hold of the loan. In 2005 I called the bank and they told me ' Account closed and all finished'. Apparently these collection agency has bought the loan. I am so glad that I read the postings by the poster called 'ticekd-off-by-collection-calls'. Now I know the call is being made by a computer. Now that I know its First Source Advantage, I will be mor ethan glad to send a letter to them advising to contact our bankruptcy attorney. It should be fun,,,
i received a call from this landline today in weehawken, new jersey. it was a computer telling me "it" was looking for a person, and if i was that person to press one to be placed on hold to speak with an account representative. well i didn't recognize the number on the caller ID, but i had to admit it was a pretty new way (at least to me) to get hounded for some credit card balance that is not mine. i share a name with the person that owes the $$, but one time i made the mistake of saying my name and instantly it was assumed i was the guy they were looking for and they were playing a game of "GOTCHA!". well i guess 'my' name came back up to the top of the list and their computer found a number and called me back again, almost 6 months to the day of trying to explain it to them before! These people are real A-holes. they work as a collection firm for Capital One LLC. problem is - once they think they have the right person, they almost never leave you alone, even though i have never had an account with Capital One!. they are pains!
