Leave a CommentI get called fron this number once or twice a week. I do not pick up when I do not know the number of the caller, but when they continue to call you pretty much know what the call is about.
I got a call from this number at 6pm in the evening. They said that I qualify for a government grant of $7500 and I can go pick it up at Western Union. They gave me some information and another number to call...954-639-4299 so I could authorize the transfer of funds. I kept waiting for the ball to drop, because I knew it would.....finally, I am told that I need to go to my local Western Union and call them back so I could transfer a $199 security deposit, which would be refunded to me immediately along with my supposed $7500 grant money. That's what I was waiting for...I told the man that he should be ashamed of himself for trying to scam people and doing it in the name of the government. I also told him that "we" as a people should be caring for one another and helping one another instead of trying to get over on one another! I am highly upset that each time I turn around there seem to be more and more people trying to get what they can out of someone who really doesn't have it to give. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE GOLDEN RULE?
