I just received 2 calls from (202)-280-2426 from Washington, D.C. on June 12,1009 @ 2:01pm & 2:12pm. Saying how money was available on a first come basis. It has to be organized for so many states to be targeted @ the same time. What do they hope to benefit, if the website leads a person here?
I just got the same message on my answering ma****e. I didn't pick up cause I didn't know the number. It said to go to mygrantfunds.com on a first come first serve basis. I work for a large bank corporation and yes this is a scam sorry to say.The number came up on my caller id as washington dc.

They are phishing for account data to rip you off read all about how to spot and avoid GRANT SCAMS from the Federal Trade Commission Website Grant Scams http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt134.shtmAlso go to Consumeraffairs.com and read all their info on grant scams. like thisThe "free money" scam has been around almost as long as the human species. It has more variations than a bulldog has wrinkles but you can count on one thing: the government (any government) does not simply give money away to individuals. Anyone who tells you differently has larceny in his heart. If you give him your bank account number, he will soon have your funds in his pocket. It does no good to list all of the names used by these bunko artists because a.) they c****e all the time and b.) every single free-money government-grant offer is a scam. Period.
