Leave a CommentI received an email containing the same information. The email contained my entire resume I posted online with a jobs.com site. In Mr.Hahn's request for me to work for him, he had a Web site link - "job.com" - Sometimes if you pay close enough attention, you can catch them before you think about replying. So, it's not just phone calls he's making - it's also email. Does that make it Internet fraud? Just wondering.
Next time they called I asked how the rep liked being a verification specialist then said I am a job recruiter. They never called back because they are scammers and know it.
They keep calling, leaving automated messages to call back and speak to a Verification Specialist. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THEIR GAMES, so I got smart and called back, this time in a sleepy voice. When asked to verify my ph# I did ONLY because they already have it from some bogus job ad I applied to. Next when they asked my name I pretended not to be NAME then said, No, that's not me. Then I said how I keep getting calls and now it is 5 AM because I live in HAWAII, just to derail them. Then I said, maybe somebody must have given you my ph# by mistake? I proceeded to ask them all sorts of WHY questions in a concerned voice. The so-called Verification Rep was VERY apologetic telling me she was sorry and would have their dept. remove my ph#. Since then no calls from 202-403-0827 BUT just to be sure, I called the local ph company where they put a 90-day block on it. So next time if/when Career Network calls, then they will be filtered to a disconnected #. What's even better, I will NEVER hear my phone ring a***n from these scammers who keep preying on innocent job seekers! This company needs to be shut down, and*****to! ARRGGH!!
Rec'd automated call from Employment Select Verfication Services. Was on hold, hold, hold. Finally a young woman came on asking what number I was at. Gave her home phone and then got cut off. Recording had said that it was in repsonse to application I had filed for employment. Tried to call back and a***n got recorings. The only job I had applied for that was not with a prin****l was on Craigs List. When I chekced the company name it was reflected on this site under another number. Reported as a Phishing Scam.
I am just sick of these people that are trying to take advantage of those of us without jobs. I get this call several times a week and sometimes more than once a day. They never leave a message, but I don't know anyone in Washington,DC so I never answer it.
i recieved the call earlier today, it was a british guy on the recording, i had applied for a coupld of jobs online but there was an odd response i recieved about making 24000 from home, the guys name was james hahn and said he lived in the UK.
