Leave a CommentReceived this on my landline. Interesting they are now using landline numbers? Talked with Level 3 Communications, but they don't really care about it. Told me to talk to local authorities. There was a previous scam like this last year in our area, they were trying to access landlines to rack up expensive long distance charges on customers. RCMP had such warning. I agree it is time that more is done. Maybe President Barack Obama would be interested in this situation? I am sure he would do so****ing about it. The number is a listing from Washington, DC, although it came up as Brit. Columbia. I knew right from the s**** it was the same scam.Previous scam stated car warranty was about to expire! This one is the lower the interest rate!
this call is on a Pay Tech Communications network. They have NO policy for preventing spam and recirect you to a GOV #. They are as useless as the tele-marketers. My solution is to block the incoming # and that should solve the issue as thier remove my # from our list does nothing. Pay Tech # 877-999-7705
I got this call few times on my cell. They leave messages. Who could possibly stop it?
I may be a bit ignorant but are there not laws in place to protect Ca***ians from these harassing American companies. I'm certain if we called people (CDN or Amer)to harass them, it would be illegal. NO? Why the double standard. Time to take action people.
Don't just sit there, everyone send this template to your carrier's head office like I did:------The mobile phone numbers under my account have been compromised. There is a new form of fishing scheme which I would like to bring your office's attention to. Here are some reference websites which are continuously updated with new complaints: 1. http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-202-495-***0 2. http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/202495***0 This is happening on a massive scale, and I would like some form of response from your office. ----------Power to the people

I just got the call from the 202-495-***0 number. I just don't answer it. If I don't know the number they can leave a message. This time the message was them ****ing up...
Just received call from this number.. Let it go right to vm..Surprise, none was left. i figured as soon as i saw it that it was a prank of some kind. Glad I'm not the only one. It's ridiculous that *I* Have to pay for the calls. But that's one of the prizes we receive for owning a cell phone I guess.
One of the worst things you can do is to respond to a call and press "3" or any other number to be removed from their call list. It's the same thing as replying to an email and asking to be removed from their spam list. When you do this, it tells the sender(s) that someone is indeed at that number and LISTENING to their message (or, in the case of email, reading the email message). Just ignore the call or ignore the email. Don't let them know that your number/email actually works - or they just keep your name on their list and sell it to other companies.
