I got this call few times on my cell. They leave messages. Who could possibly stop it?
this call is on a Pay Tech Communications network. They have NO policy for preventing spam and recirect you to a GOV #. They are as useless as the tele-marketers. My solution is to block the incoming # and that should solve the issue as thier remove my # from our list does nothing. Pay Tech # 877-999-7705
Received this on my landline. Interesting they are now using landline numbers? Talked with Level 3 Communications, but they don't really care about it. Told me to talk to local authorities. There was a previous scam like this last year in our area, they were trying to access landlines to rack up expensive long distance charges on customers. RCMP had such warning. I agree it is time that more is done. Maybe President Barack Obama would be interested in this situation? I am sure he would do something about it. The number is a listing from Washington, DC, although it came up as Brit. Columbia. I knew right from the start it was the same scam.Previous scam stated car warranty was about to expire! This one is the lower the interest rate!
The number called me at: 10:26am Friday February 20,The area code is in U.S.A and I don't know who was calling me. If someone want to leaves me a message, please send me an E-mail at: [email protected]
Don't just sit there, everyone send this template to your carrier's head office like I did:------The mobile phone numbers under my account have been compromised. There is a new form of fishing scheme which I would like to bring your office's attention to. Here are some reference websites which are continuously updated with new complaints: 1. http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-202-495-7170 2. http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/2024957170 This is happening on a massive scale, and I would like some form of response from your office. ----------Power to the people
I may be a bit ignorant but are there not laws in place to protect Canadians from these harassing American companies. I'm certain if we called people (CDN or Amer)to harass them, it would be illegal. NO? Why the double standard. Time to take action people.
This is a fraudulent telemarketing scam! Please call the telephone service provider:Level 3 Communications at 1-720-888-1000and report this number! The company that is calling you appears to be J.P.M. accelerators. Will post again if I can find any more info.
didnt answer and didnt answer one from 416 area code as well.. apparently this company generates cell phone spam from US and CA from what i have read. We pay a bigg FCC line charge on our Cell Phone bills.. amybe they could get off their a** and do something like stop cell spam that we have to pay for.,
I just got the call from the 202-495-7170 number. I just don't answer it. If I don't know the number they can leave a message. This time the message was them hanging up...
Got the call on my cell # at 2:47. I was in the Lib. doing work and did not pick it up. No MSG was left. I googled the area code and found out it was coming the District of Columbia AKA Washington DC. Like I know anyone in DC when I live in Canada.
Prerecorded message about lowering my credit interest rate from a unnamed company name... Useless spam.
i GOT THIS CALL AGAIN! I called Bell Mobility about it and they said there is nothing they can do to block the number and get this I asked if I was paying for this call and they said yes and "there is nothing they can do.It is not fair that we need to pay for unwanted calls.I filed a complaint with crtc . Oh yeah by the way when my cell phone rand the display showed a 416 number so I answered thinking it was a friend but when I checked my incoming calls it is actually from 202-495-7170. Imagine.
Calling lowering interest rates for, pressed 1 to speak to an agent then it hung up. I tried to call the number to have it removed and it was immediately disconnected.
this damm number calls a private cell number 10 times a day even tho i hit 3 to be removed from there calling list .i did some research and it belongs to a company in Westchester just outside of washington DC hope this helps someone stop theses anoying calls
CALLED ABOUT CREDIT CARD OFFER TO REDUCE RATE, I HIT OPTION 1AS SOON AS I SAID HOW DID YOU GET MY NUMBER THEY HUNG UP!!!
One of the worst things you can do is to respond to a call and press "3" or any other number to be removed from their call list. It's the same thing as replying to an email and asking to be removed from their spam list. When you do this, it tells the sender(s) that someone is indeed at that number and LISTENING to their message (or, in the case of email, reading the email message). Just ignore the call or ignore the email. Don't let them know that your number/email actually works - or they just keep your name on their list and sell it to other companies.
Just received call from this number.. Let it go right to vm..Surprise, none was left. i figured as soon as i saw it that it was a prank of some kind. Glad I'm not the only one. It's ridiculous that *I* Have to pay for the calls. But that's one of the prizes we receive for owning a cell phone I guess.
oh at least you get to tell them to f-off. The person hang up on me as soon as I said "how did you get my number?"
Calling to tell me about a special offer about the interest on my credit card. Had no idea who I was or what card I carried. Told them to remove me and to go F%$&#*^$ themselves
Called, no vm. 11:33 Feb 20. Called from WA to my # in Canada
