(202) 580-4844. I answered and there was no answer on their end. I ***g up and blocked.
Calls people telling them they have prevailed in various claims and will receive cash settlements. First, however, the claim "receiver" must pay a fee for a certain type of certificate. The real FDIC is not in this type of business, obviously!!! Also, no real government agency would request any type of fee.
This is a scam. They just pretend to be the FDIC.
