Forgein guy called me from my work phone - his number was 202-621-0315; states I have been seleected to receive a Washington Government Grant of $7000.00. gives me a code WG### and then confirms my address at home. Asks my age; then explains I do not have to repay it but have to call Debbie at 253-232-7516. I tried to call Debbie but that number is not correct - will not ring. I figure I wrote it down wrong; it was really difficutl to understand him. HE said his name was Christopher David.

i got a phone call from a 253 area code first and my iphone said its a call from Tacoma Wa. i spoke to a guy and told me that i'm qualified for a $7k grant and to call Debie bernet on a 202 area code. This was a scam.

Same thing happened to me. For future people who get this call, tell them they have the wrong number. Do what you need to.

I got the same call and I said I wanted it cash, they said wire them 190.00 and i would get it back in a few minutes. that doesnt make sense. I asked her to deduct it from the 5000 and she said she coudnt. Its a scam

I call Debbie Bennett and I did speak to her. The catch is they want you to pay a 190.00 deposit and says it is for a security deposit for the money but you will receive it back. I never heard of paying money to receive money before. I dont trust that. Its too many scams out there relying on desperit people needing money.

Got a call from a guy, and my caller ID says the call is from Maryland. I answered the call and the guy on the other end says I was picked from a pool of 1700 people to receive a $5000 free grant and the money does not have to be paid back. He had my address and asked me to verify it and I said it is correct and asked how I wanted my money to be deposited in my bank account or cash and I said to send me a check. He said since it was a check to call Debbie Bennett at 202-621-0315. I have been trying to reach her but All I get is a answering ma****e saying she is not available and ****s up
