Just a call just like your mother.  The woman sounded Indian.  I listened for a little than when she asked what I thought of it I told her that I thought it was a scam and told her I was ****ing up on her.  I didn't let her get to where she asked for personal information.  It sounded fishy to me.  I didn't think the government called people randomly.  I immediately Googled for any information.  I'm glad I'm not the only one who got this call.

Got a call about free grant money and after an extensive process I was asked for a processing fee. I declined the grant money offer. Be aware that they will attempt to get personal information. A DEFINITE SCAM!!!

The some happen to me...But she ask me for my SS# I said NO.And she got mad and s****ed  yelling at me.Like I was a child (I said ***).This lady was crazy.I told here stop yelling.I not going to give her  my SS#.I said I'm going to call the number(202.621.0416) that she give me.But what I did was I google the number.That what I do if I don't recognize the number & I found this blog.Thanks every one!!!  God bless u

Got a call from 202 657 6875, lady by the name of amy stated that I was chosen fr a randum of number and due to good credit and a outstanding tax income I was qualified to recieve a grant fr. Washington DC ministry of health she also mention that this grant was being offered throughout the united states and new to all territories to include guam and American Samoa, ****** Island, so she gave me a code number and I was to call another number 202-657-6875 then I spoke to a person by the name of raymon reeyes he then acknowledge my code and said to hold on I will refer you to another person that will get more information fr. me while waiting the number when busy so I ***g up, about 5 minutes later the lady amy called and said I needed to call the number back and speak to the person which I never did, and for this reason I felt this was a scam and somthing was'nt right, even the person on the other side of ths phone number did'nt sound american there was a language barrier, sounded more like Korean I feel you need to get with these organization that are trying to scam good honest hard working people.

My mom got a call 20 minutes ago from an Indian sounding person claiming she worked for the Department of Grants of the United States of America.  She stated that my mom was the lucky few who was picked to receive $7,000, interest free, don't have to pay back, FREE money.  All she needed was her routing no. and bank no. to give my mom the $7,000.  My mom, who just recently got approved of the Obama Plan, was too trusting thinking this had so****ing to do with the Obama Plan.  So she gave her routing no. and bank no. She then hurriedly told me about the good news..but I was skeptical, and told her to give me a website where such information could be found.  To everyone out there...there is always always always going to be valid information found in the Government Website about such grants.  So she tried calling back, but they didn't answer the phone when mom tried to call twice.  So I called, after some quick research on the net.  I found this blog.  Thank you so much everyone.  To finish the story.  Like what another person from this blog said..Another person sounding Indian, claimed to call himself as John Tucker (I like wat****g movies that's why I knew this was a scam, John Tucker aka Jesse Metcalf, who just recently did a movie in India: The Other End of Line), answered the call.  I was very calm, I'm always calm, but this guy suddenly s****ed yelling out of nowhere saying that we didn't appreciate the $7,000 (my response was ***), s****ed yelling about random things too.  My mom tried to tell me to just let it be, $7,000 was too good to be true..and since he s****ed saying that if he didn't process it now that United States was going to give it to someone else. So mom told me to get off the phone..this was when I yelled at her and told her "look at what these people are saying".  Now she is off to the bank to close her account and open a new one.  So I taught my mom a lesson today "Never ever ever ever ever give out any personal information, even if it is claiming to be your bank.  Tell them you will call them back."  If it sounds good to be true it probably is a scam.  They were asking her $99 donation too for some kind of charity.

i gt excited frm. Gettin a call frm a lady telling me that i can claim a free grant money for the amount of 7k gt excited because that could be big help for our financial prblem.wrote down the code she gave me to release and confirm grant money then gave me the number 202 621 0416  i called the number but gt confused why the guy ask me to donate a $100 to donate for some kind of charity . I was juz thinking if they said it's free grant money from federal then why are they asking me to donate a $100 dollars.confused.

got a phone call and told me i can receive a free money grant of $7000 the lady gave me a code to claim it then told me to call 202-621-0416 then the guy name ''jorge told me to go to 'western union to donate a $100 for some kind of charity but i told him i don't have a car .etc.etc. I'm thinking till now because i can't believe that a housewife like me can get a 7k free grant money.confuse...
