Called and said to pay 290$ to receive 7500$ of grant money in 15 minutes. You NEVER pay for grants it's FREE

A gentleman called and said he works for United States Governement Grant Department. He hardly spoke good english. I told him the United States Federal Government does not have a grant department. He was able to give me my first name and a wrong last name. Even though the last name was wrong, I stated to him the name he had suggested was infact my last name. He got my address right though. He gave me what he called a financial acct number MS726. I am supposedly one of about 1700 people who were prequalified for a federal Government grant money of $7500 through a survey. He finally transferred me to lady who stated her name as Angela Garcia. She practically repeated the same tale. She instructed me to go to a western Union and remmit $299 to them. When I get to the western union i should call 202-640-5471 to receive futher instruction. I thanked her and ***g up...

Its a big time scam!

I'm confused

It's a money scam claiming to be government grant money and asking people to wire money

They call you and tell you that you have approval for a grant, and they give you a grant ID # and all, but its a scam and they are all foreigners, and asking a lot of questions. They want your Date of Birth, etc. Don't do it!!!
