The 202 area code is Washington DC.  When the automated message finishes you can press 1 to speak to the representative.  I told the rep I am on the "do not call list" and to stop calling my house.  She then ****s up the phone.  It says credit account services on the automated message.

This number calls with a recorded message that I have to talk to one of their operators before my credit cards are cancelled. The operator refuses to providing any information identifying their company and requests that I confirm my name and phone number (which I did not do).The operator states that they have no phone number where they can be reached, and ****s up when you ask for an address.

Get this calls all the time even though I am on the do not call list. So annoying!! First off they saythere is no problem with my credit card but how would I like to lower my interest rate. At that point I **** up.

Received a call today, but I didnt answer. It seems like its a telemarketing call after sear****g on the internet. I agree with the previous guy about Do Not Call List. In last few months, it seems like I'm getting many automatic calls from telemarketer.

Called a short time ago. They left an automated message but only got the tail end of the message because it s****s it's message as soon as the phone picks up. Of course it doesn't know to wait for the Voice Mail message to finish.Caller ID says Washington DC though.The "people" who run the Do Not Call outfit don't seem to be showing up for work anymore. My **** call list keeps growing and reporting it to them gets me no place.

I get these calls all the time and I wish they'd quit. I run a business from home and need to answer the phone during the day. These people waste my time and interrupt my work. I've been told by my Secretary of State that these calls likely originate out of the country and that they're scammers, trying to get information. Don't give them any info. I think I'll buy a whistle tonight and the next one who calls will get an earful of very shrill noise.

Automated phone call from 202-670-8197 on May 19, 2011 regarding lowering my credit card interest rates???

Any ideas who this might be?
