These guys called me too, several times.  I think they keep calling because my elderly mother sometimes anwsers and they probably think they can con her.  These people should be jailed.

I got a call from the phone #202-821-4243 and the man said he was Stephen Baker from Federal Trade Commission. He said I was a second place winner in a sweepstakes that I did enter (American Sweepstakes out of LasVegas). He said I would have a certified check from BOA for $350,000 all taxes paid . Then he said since 9-11 any checks a certain amount requires to be insured. I was asked to insure my $350,000 certified check for $700.00 or if I could not pay the $700 I could pay a couple of ***dred now and pay the rest once my check was deposited.

This number (Nasbaum &****oc) has been calling claiming to be a law firm, but stating that I have won money from a sweepstakes.  When you call the number back, they can't help you.  But, then they call a***n stating the same as above.
