It's American Ins***ute of Cancer Research. Only about 25% of money raised goes to cancer research. If you call the 1-202-870-5894 back, press 1, then press 3, you can get an opt-out option. Possibly this will work on all nos. they call from. This is the only one calling me so far. They call early & late, don't leave messages, and **** up when I answer.

The party who called here said they were from "infocision" calling "on behalf of" the AICR. I guess this is where some of that "administrative overhead" goes -- to "hired-gun" telemarketers. UGH.

who are these people and why me?  i don't owe anyone any money . i am an elderly widow.  i no longer answer as they are never there.  if there is no law a***nst this, there should be.  the fcc number is 1 877 382 4357.  maybe if enough of us call we can get it stopped.

Fight back!  Call these numbers every hour until they stop.  Don't give them name and address or they will put you on a mailing list.  1-800-843-8114 (DC: 202-328-7744).I've been called 8 times in 8 consecutive days from 8 different numbers.

You can opt-out of their phone list by calling them at the above number and pressing Option 3.  You'll be asked to enter your number and they then tell you you'll be removed but it'll take up to 30 days to do so.  Problem resolved (I hope)!

The "Do Not Call Registry" only applies to private businesses, like the company who wants to come & clean your chimney, or the newspaper trying to get you to buy a subscription. So-called charities, not-for-profits, fundraisers, etc., are exempt from that registry. SO, the people who incessantly call about wanting to pick up your old clothes, the pretend police fundraisers, and this AICR company included, do not legally have to follow the "do not call" list!! SOOOOO ANNOYING that they get a free pass to legally continue to harrass us all!

We receive a call or more every day from this AICR harasser.  I am ready to sue!  It appears to be an automatic call system which rings twice, leaves no message and ****s up.  The number AICR har***** me with comes from 202 652 4598, a cell phone registered to AICR in Westchester, DC.  Apparently, they just keep getting new numbers, or maybe this is part of the "jobs"just created with millions of government money.

I am on the do not call list for three years, but it is useless.  Now I am being harassed by this phone number early in the morning and late at night.  I have an ill family member and need this to stop.

When I answered someone just laughed and ***g up.  Glad to know who is calling.  How can this be stopped.  These people are the lowest of the low.

Thanks for letting me know who this number is!  Same here, called at 9:58pm last night (3/17), and a***n at 10:32am this morning (3/18).  Now finding out this has to do with some cancer research, as my mom is dealing with stage 4 cancer ...the last thing she needs are pr*cks bothering her about a cancer study! I am absolutely fuming! Called back and simply received a recording "sorry we missed you, we will try back later..."Dont think its a coincidence since we are also receiving junk mail now of ho****e care and even cremation options! (Some a** sold her info)  I want more done to get these *******s to stop calling!

Repeated calls every day, never leave messages.  When we answer the phone no one is there.I've called 1-800-843-8114 (their home page number on the internet) and requested they remove my phone number twice but still getting calls.

They raise most of their money by getting one of your neighbors to guilt you into contributing or calling you on the phone. You can't block them, either.  I tried by blocking the first number they used, 202-367-9102, but they switched to this one. I suspect I'm on their "list" and that my neighbor put me there.  Unfortunately, as useless as the federal Do Not Call list is, that doesn't even apply to charities.
