Leave a CommentThis call was transferred to me by our call center (they told our call center they were with the State). They asked for my boss by his first name and when I said he was out of town for the week the caller mumbled so****ing and ***g up.
A woman called from this number today and was very pushy and rude to our receptionist. When the call was put through to me, the woman was nice and asked to speak with my boss. I told the woman that he was not available and she asked what time he was planning to leave for lunch. I explained to her that he doesn't have a scheduled lunch time and she said she would call back later.
This number calls every day, usually saying they're with the Mayor's office. Today when I answered the caller was laughing and after a moment's pause I asked, "Sorry, am I interrupting you?" and she said "Oh, do you need some****istance?" and I ***g up.This is one of my most frustrating callers because I can't figure out how to get rid of them!
Got a call today. Said he was on hold for the owner of the company - referred to owner by name. He was not on hold -- I didn't put him on hold and no one else could have. I told him the owner was not here and asked to take a message. Said no - he would be hard to catch and would call back. Didn't give name or anything. I called the number back and got recording that number was disconnected.
Recieved a call today from both a man and a woman within miutes from each other. When I said the person they were trying to reach was not avail the guy slammed the phone (**** up) the girl proceeded to tell me her name "Anna" and I asked what company she said no company and asked a***n to speak with the person and wanted his VM thenwent on to metion a "Mayor's office"... when I told her I AM HIS VM she asked well when will he be available I then proceeded to tell her that I am not a liberty to give out that info and if she wants a return call she will need to give me her # (I never let on I have caller ID and have already written it down) Then she stated she will call back a***n and I said well I look forward to talking to you because you will never get my boss!
Man claiming to be in charge of government agency that hands out stimulus dollars for companies that are hurting to prevent layoffs. Asked if I remembered talking to him last year, apologized for cancelling his trip last year and that we didn't meet, asked me if I remembered that, which I did not. When I told him I had nothing to do with things like that he s****ed to go on and ***g up to acting as if we got disconnected.
Man cld in claiming to be Dan Quinten from the Attorney Generals Office in Florida. claimed that we violated a law and wanted a specific employee terminated. ONly wanted to speak to the owner, made many threats of legal action.
A man called asking, by name, for the president of our company. I asked him, "Who may I say is calling?" The man identified himself as Ron Priest. I also asked him what company he was with. He claimed to be calling from the office of the State of Illinois. I placed him on hold, then came back and told him that my boss wanted to know the nature of the call. The man said that it was regarding a state business stimulus plan. I placed him on hold a***n, then I told him that my boss would like to call him back when he wasn't so busy. He gave me a phone number. I later tried calling it because my boss wanted more information, and its voicemail said that it was the personal cell phone of a Dr. David S______. I then tried calling back the number that this man called from, 202-968-4461, and I got a message that the call could not be completed as dialed. This is obviously a scam, or the individual would not be s****ing the number that the call was coming from or giving out a bogus return phone number.
Person asked for our company owner by first name and identified himself as Ron Priest from the Commonwealth of Mass. (we are in MA) and when I asked to take a message he s****ed to give me a (***) area code number and then disconnected the call. When I called back the number, it said that the call couldn't be completed as dialed. These idiots just don't give up!!!!
Called me twice on cell today while I was on phone, left no message, and when I returned the call to this number, recording came on to tell me phone number is not in service.
Gentleman going by the name of David Dabney called asking for Jeff - when asked which Jeff he wanted, he indicated that it was the president of our company. When I advised that he was out of town on business today, he s****ed acting all nervous stating "Oh boy", "Oh boy" - I asked if there was someone else who could****ist him, he stated that he was calling from our mayor's office and needed to know ASAP if our president had received an invitation supposedly mailed to him for a dinner being held by our city's mayor on 5/20/09 and needed to know if the president of our company planned on attending. As I also handle all incoming mail for our president, I know that no such invitation was received. David Dobney kept pushing for when the president would be back in - I advised to try back tomorrow. I traced the call after he ***g up and found that the number that he called from was by no means a local number and found this site with comments from others. I also checked our mayor's website and there are no upcoming events at all scheduled for 5/20/09. This sounds extremely fishy and seems that these are telemarketers - if they are willing to lie through their teeth to be transferred to top executives of a company - I certainly wouldn't want my company doing any business with them!
Very strange call. Female caller, stated she wanted to talk to Mr. _ _, who is the past president of our company (she ask for him by name). When I inquired who she was, she gave me only a first name (Shanika, Shaniqua, or so****ing like that). When asked what she was calling about, she mentioned so****ing about a mayor's office, and that she was returning his call...except he's been dead for over a year now. She then ***g up abruptly.
Very persistent on getting to the owner asking for cell number. Demanding that he talks to him now and insists he is getting on a plane right now to come to Venice FL to see him. He then asked for voicemail but did not wait for it and ***g up.
