That's a little paranoid.

Sorry to disappoint you people, but this is not a bogus person nor caller. It is a Cablevision Dispatcher who is looking to contact you to ensure you are home, prior to him sending someone to your house. If you don't pick up, then they will send them to the next service call. I picked up and spoke to him. That's why I know. This information is current as of today, Dec. 6, 2009.

Its a bogus call. I got same. And I also, on the same day, from the same Cablevision CT office, got a PRIVATE CALLER show up on my caller id, confirming a so-called appointment for a failed service that I supposedly reported! And you cannot call the number back -- its always busy!

I received two phone calls from this number today.   Each time they **** up.  It is annoying to say the least.  I wish it would not continue.

Call CABLEVISION Corporate Customer Relations at 516-803-2300 and file a complaint.THEN, take photos of your caller ID and take Cablevision to court for harrassing you via phone. If found 'guilty', the FCC will fine Cablevision THOUSANDS of DOLLARS for each incident.Don't be lazy!

I am concerned and would like to report this 203-345-1266 number as a number to be very weary of.  Although it says cablevision and very well may be a number owned by Cablevision, they call, leave no message and then if you ever answer, they simply **** up.  I believe it is someone at this number trying to identify when a homeowner is home so then your home becomes a target for burglary.  This has happened to me a week after a technician came over to check on my service and set up my TV's and computer.  I have reported this to local police department and all others receiving calls from this number should do the same...and be sure to install a home security system as soon as you order cable.

I missed the call, but i have been trying to call back for some time now and its always busy.  No Voicemail.

I got two calls from  203-345-1266 but no message left. Later found out that Cable vision is trying to get my feedback on the installation. In the first place the Technician never arrived to install. I waited three hours at home and called the customer service twice to confirm the appointment, as per Customer service " The Technician is running late, but will be on site to install the cable TV". This Company is the Monopoly, no compe***or ( since the Apartment does not allow Dish Antenna)you are at their mercy. The Law makers are busy collecting their fund from Lobbyist. God Help America.

I just got a call from 203-345-1266 - when I answered they hing up

You couldn't get into the boiler room. Not sure why you had to anyway. Told technician to go home. I am getting Direct TV

Hi Cablevision, the technician for my rescheduled installation appointment did call me to inform his arrival for the service. But the technician for my first appointment didn't call at all, and arrived near my house, waiting only three minutes and left quickly, didn't give me time to do downstairs to open the door to meet him. I was frustrating because I waited for two days for this appointment but he is not willing to wait for several minutes and didn't call me. Then I have to reschedule the appointment to next day,and this inconvenience has interrupted my work a lot because I use internet to work for my company.
