Valerie, tell your company (you keep defending them, you probably work there) to stop being rude on the phone. You guys do telemarketing, if you can't deal with people getting ****ed off about your company, then you need to find a new company. Stop coming to the web to try to defend your company.

The number 203-930-9760 called my UNLISTED PHONE NUMBER and I don'tappreciate it. I don't like it when someone calls my home phone that is unlisted and not leave a voicemail. Please have them stop or I will press charges.

As to the do-not-call list, you have to be put on by the company that is calling you. Their is not one for all calls.  This number that is calling you is not selling you so****ing.  And as for the caller ID it depents on the caller ID.  This number show up on 90% of peoples caller ID's.  Verde Energy USA/ Dept. of Energy Procurment is an Independent Electric Supplier helping three different states that have been deregulated to save money on thier electric bill by lowering the KWH rate by 15%.  If you want more information you can go to www.bbb.org, www.lowcostpower.com and then call them at 203-930-9760.

I received a ****-up call from this number today @ 2:26pm. Sounds from this site they're trying to solicit info. I thought that was illegal?? I love the answer "We don't use electricity". I'll use it the next time someone calls, and doesn't **** up! Thanks!

Received a phone call from 'Shervington, Mia' today around 2:30. They ***g up once I answered. When I called back I reached Verde Energy. STOP CALLING US!

Call comes in and when answered, no one responds on the other end or ****s up.

I answered the phone and they asked to speak with whomever was responsible for the electric bill.  I told them we don't use electricity and the poor guy didn't know what to say.

I called this number back because it was id as Mia Shervington, however its just another way for telemarketers to solicit because it looks like a personal call. The company is not identified on caller id. its just another way to get around telemarketing laws. It was a company related to saving money on energy bills and they can go fan ice because I can find my own savings. Have a great day!

Called and ***g up returned call some electric company offer. I wish that these companies could not call you unless they had written permission. They would never get mine and then the people who wanted to contact me could.

Same exact issue this morning to me as you all have described.  It's one of the discount generator companies trying to get people to switch your generator choice for CL&P or UI because CT is deregulated.The name of the company was mumbled, so I didn't catch it.  His baloney was that "You haven't responded to the notification in your CL&P to reduce your electric generation..."  The guy said it was so****ing that CL&P was required to provide us, which is a lie.  CL&P is required to allow us to switch generators - but not required to tell us about it.  Companies pay to have their information inserted in CL&P bills.  Anyway, I said, "Yeah, I do online billing so haven't seen a flier from you.  What's your company name a***n, because I already use a third party generator, so you're lying to me".  Suddenly, the phone goes dead.  How convenient...tried calling back and it's Verde Energy USA.Below is how I suggest you investigate this choice:  Use the http://www.ctenergyinfo.com/display_rates.htm to see rates of all sorts of suppliers and make the decision by comparing your choices and read the fine print.  Verde is on the list...but THIS IS NOT A MANDATE as they imply.  Be a smart consumer and make the decision where to go yourself.

Called here several times I finally answered told me I could save 15% on my electric bill HA..anyways I said save your time I'M NOT INTERESTED. hopefully the last time they call...

Caller ID says "Shervington Mia".  First thing the caller did was to order me to get my electric bill (to get  my account number) because I did not opt lower my rate last month for some promotion & he was there to make sure I did.  He talked like a **** as if I owed him so****ing.  When I asked him to send me the info via postal mail he ***g up.

Someone from this number is constantly calling the house and will not leave messages nor will they say anything when we answer.  Number comes up as unknown name as usual.......what a great help caller id is.

Someone named "Clinton" from bowdin electricity or similar. Most UNPROFESSIONAL call I have EVER had, very reluctant to identify himself, objected to my inquiry if this were an "unsolicited call."  He called ME unprofessional, which of course was an invitation to **** up on him.  Definitely reporting!

If it's not a scam why do you illegal hide your caller ID?Just because YOU think the world is interested in what you're pedaling doesn't mean we are.Nor does it mean you can ignore do-not-call lists or telemarketing laws.

Called and asked who pays the electric bill at this home? Then asked if I were there at home.

It's NOT a SCAM, If you live in a De-regulated State for Electric, call your Electric Company and ask about choosing a supplier to get a LOWER electric bill... It's REAL...!!
