Called and didn’t leave message

June 2011Is 800notes bogus???  I posted here a few days ago, a truthful post, no profanity, etc, and I do not see my post?  So where is it???  Bear.To briefly redo, multiple calls from same number, five in half a day.Checking, I saw it was Winnipeg Free Press.  I called them, asked for a Supervisor, got Darlene.  I told her the above and told her to stop their auto dialer from calling me and that their actions were a***nst the LAW.  She argued that they were exempt from the DNCL.  I told her to STOP calling me or (fill in the blank).  She relented and said i would be removed from the Winnipeg Free Press auto dialer.I wish to note that the Winnipeg Free Press IS, and I stress IS, breaking the LAW.  The Criminal Code of Ca***a states that three (3) or more times of a repeated offense such as HARASSMENT, is Criminal, and charges can be laid.  Criminal Harassment.  The Winnipeg Free Press is breaking the LAW.   The Winnipeg Free Press is located at: 1355 Mountain Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Ca***a, R2X 3B6, Phone 204-697-7000 or 204-697-7001.  Fax (204) 607-7412  Email:  [email protected] hope 800notes posts all this, as it is true and helpful and took me much time.  Grrrrrrr.BEAR

well, i got a call also, i thought some lonely lady was calling me up on a date. i pickup, dead silence. i ***gup. broke my *****in' heart.   lol!.. anyway, i don't cater to survey's,telemarketing or any other annoying calls that waste my time.

This number has called my house 6 TIMES today and if it truly is the Winnipeg Free Press that makes me so mad because I live an hour and half away from Winnipeg!  I don't pick it up, I wait for it to go to my answering ma****e but they never leave a message.  It's so annoying and I am so fed up!

Yup, just got a call, womans voice says "hi" then ****s up. weird!

I got a call from them and said I would subscribe. My subscription didnt s**** when promised and then was thrown halfway down my driveway in the snow instead of by the door. I called and cancelled after a week. Now I am continually getting calls from them with a **** up if it goes to the answering ma****e. Not impressed.

Trying to sell me a subscription for daily delivery.

Nice how they can get around the Don't Call List....Right from their website...Does being on the List prevent all unsolicited calls? Being on the National DNCL keeps you from receiving most telemarketing calls, but there are exceptions. Registered charities are still allowed to call for donations, and certain other organizations—such as companies conducting polls or surveys, political parties, and newspapers looking for subscriptions—can also continue to contact you. they call my house a whole ton of times but usually ***ody says anything when I answer but today somebody said oh then ***g up the phone.

Ugh, me too I was at work and I got home and I have like 3 missed calls in one day from them. Who calls that many times?? I thought maybe I was late on a bill payment or so****ing.

Three missed calls in 24 hours from this number.

They keep calling and when I pick up no one talks... it gets disconnected...

They have an automatic calling system and they just let it go until someone picks up.

This is Winnipeg Free Press.  I keep answering and leaving my phone by the radio.  They call every so often to offer me a deal.  I hate this because I have to listen to their dribble until I tell them if they can't deliver it to my door I don't want it.  Then they check my address on their system and low and behold I live in an apartment and they don't have the key.  Then they say they'll stop calling me.  NOT!  I think they use an auto dialer to call people.

have had this ph number come up several times on my caller id. today's date dec 16 954 am. i googled this number and came to this web site. glenn beckett

It has been bothering me for over a month!Got the phone call, picked it up, but no body on the phone.If, not pick up the phone, no body leaves message.Tried to call back, ***ody answers.

The number 204-697-7001 is listed on the Winnipeg Free Press site to contact them for different things.

I have gotten a few calls from this number recently and I let my answering ma****e handle the call. I just get a woman's voice saying, "Hello?*****o?" not realizing she is speaking to an answering ma****e, I guess. The Caller ID comes up as "unknown", but some research reveals that it is a number for the Winnipeg Free Press (I live in Winnipeg).
