Those calls come indeed from the hospital, like "Tania16 Feb 2011" said if someone who the caller is asking was in the emergency room but left without a notice, they will call you. P.S I think they do not disclose any info because they protect the privacy of the person they ask for.Hope this helps

It makes sense that it would be someone from the hospital.  I walked out of Misericordia Urgent Care thurs. morning.

Got this call as well for my dad...caller would not say who they were, which I think is a huge problem. Right off the bat you get su****ious. Totally idiotic that they don't identify themselves. I also called Bryan klos at 788-8021. He explained that people will be called, through this number, if they have gone to emergency and left early before seeing a doctor (my dad did in fact do this).Bryan said they should identify themselves, but the woman did not. And she was rude, as many others have noticed. If this woman calls back, I'm going to tell her what I think of her. And really, I am still su****ious of someone who calls and won't say why they are calling...whether they are calling from the Winnipeg Health Authority or not.Why is this their policy? Just say who you are! It's ridiculous!

this number called my boyfriend at home, it was a girl, she asked his dad for him twice by name, and claimed that it was ME calling. she somehow knows my name and my boyfriends name... i dont understand.

After just a couple of hours and investigation . It's Ipsos Reid located at 900-363 Carlton near broadway. I worked there for two days and it was an awfull company . Get tuis they ***t down people for collection companies and other things . Or some nut job at there company . When I answered this is Ipsos Reid I didn't hear much and they didn't call back. Internet is a powerfulthing. They ***t you down and get paid for it how sick

received a call asking for my son by his first name, when I stated that he was not home and could i take a message they stated abruptly "no" and ***g up.  It was a disconcerting call since my son is underage.

this lady called twice today but would not leave her name when asked...

This is also the number used for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's after hours service.  My girlfriend works as a healthcare aide and often gets calls from this number when her schedule is c****ed or during emergencies.  Perhaps some people getting calls from this number receive home care services?

I am sure he would LOVE to hear from you.  if you cant get him at that number... call Misercordia Hospital and ask for him.  If that does not work for HSC or the Winnipeg Health Authority and ask for the Health Linx Director.

and just to add to my previous post... the number specifically belongs to a reporting department... they generally call if you leave emergency dept without being seen or without completing your care.

Well I dont take BS from anyone.  I called MTS and finally got an answer - it belongs to Health Sciences Hospital.

hi i contacted MTS and they said that the number 1-204-788-8588 is the number for a hospital in winnipeg.

A lady called from 788-8588 and asked for my husband by name and would give no information, just wanted to know when he would be homw.  I asked who it was, and they said they couldn't say.  I got the same response wjhen I asked for a call back number, the name of the company they were calling from, and a***n when I asked if I could take a message.  They said they would only speak with him.  They did not call back.

This called keeps calling and when you try to dial it back, there is a message it does not accept returned calls..what the heck????

Someone from 204-788-8588 is also calling my grandsons home to speak with his wife.  It is a man that calls and asks for her by her first name.  It makes no difference whether my grandson answers the phone or his wife does as soon as she answers the man ****s up.  This is not just verification that she lives at that phone number because there have been a number of calls.

Someone called this morning and a***n in the evening and asked for my son, both times i asked who was speaking and she would not say. i ***g up.
