Leave a CommentWell they call me and I heard it I win 100,000 Airmiles, press 1 to accept, I didn't press it but I call it back and I realise they're in Manitoba,Ca***a and they're scam artist cause they ask me my credit card info....woow.
unknown caller
you have won 100,000 airmiles, press "1" to accept. Then they try to sell you a vacation. you have to pay now and you can use the vacation in the next year and a half. You also have to provide your credit card information over the phone. I said I wold not provide my credit card number over the phone and the guy argued with me for the next 15 minutes. I just tried to call the number, and it says that the number is not in service.
YES! I am certain I put this on the DNC list.... Just received one too. Not the first time either.
Yeah, same here. Didn't answer it as I never answer long distance calls, but it's a **** off that they have my number.
Just missed this call on my cell phone. No message was left. How irritating.
Got a call to my cell from the above number. When I try to call them back, recording says that the number is not in service
Apparently managed by Allstream Manitoba!
I suspect the perpetrators are using mechanized calls using internet to phone technology and are calling from god knows where. Its impossible to trace these numbers as they come up as disconnected, contacting the phone company that runs the area code advised me that some are using illegal call display modification. This tells me they are in control of a local exc****e carrier or similar.
Called my Bell Ca***a cell phone. Left a message that was 2 seconds long: "Press 1"We have a double whammy here, phone on "do not call list" and the fact they are calling a cell phone that should be automatically blocked.
Rec'd this call on my cell, which I never give out for anything. Therefore I know it is a scam. No msg left.
same here...just missed the call...glad to see these comments on here...i was wondering who would be calling me from manitoba...now i know it's not important, lol
204 977 8686."Because you are a valued Shaw customer, you will be awarded 2000 travel points. To accept, press 1."***g up automatically after staying on the line without pressing 1.Either a Nigerian 419 scam or a pharming scam.
"because you are a Bell Telephone subscriber, you have won 3000 travel points"automated call - no person on the other end. I just ***g up. I thought the "Do not call list" was supposed to stop these kind of calls!!!
In this day and age, you shouldn't be able to not reveal your iden***y when you call out. It's insulting. Do we go up to people randomly on the street and talk to them without identifying ourselves? Why is that ok on the phone? OK I'm done ranting now. Back to work.
erin - i bought a swivel sweeper G2... however, i bought it online vs. phoning and placing the order. i don't think i provided my cell number to them? that said, i received two emails saying there was a problem with my order and had to call a 1-800 number to resolve both times. and used my cell to do it. are the slap chop and swivel sweeper related?
by any chance did we all buy the same product? since i bought an item online through as seen on tv i have had numerous calls on my unlisted number...i bought a slap chop as a gift and it has been a headache ever since
I received a call from this number on my cell. There was a voice message stating that long distance charges would apply so I ***g up. This call actually left part of a recorded message in my inbox. "... thousand travel dollars, press 1 to ..."Are these people evil or what? What is the scam, to get long distance charge*****ting average people? More evidence of the devolution of society. Honestly we need to lobby for strionger laws regarding access to our phone numbers by unscrupulous lowlife "marketers".
just missed the call
Looking at the comment times, lol I just got the call an hour ago too but missed it and was thinking it was my work because they have an extension that ends in 8686 but when I called back it told me the number was out of service so I got confused.. Where the heck did they get my cell number from? I got one last month though too but they asked me if I was older than 25 and since I wasn't I wasn't valuable apparently
Says "since you are a valued customer you have won 2500 travel miles" yeah, as if lol Got the same call on my home phone too.
tired of all these unkown caller #'s that ring for 14 times before they **** up!! Leave us alone!!
