Calls my home daily looking for someone i've never heard of. I have called them repeatedly to try to get them to understand this person is not on my number. apparenlty, they do not believe me. Is there anything we as consumers can do to make them stop calling MY number...?

Receiving collection calls for a person who lived in our house almost ten years ago!  Our phone number is new and has never been connected to this address before.  We even have a different family name from the person being called!  This company is sear****g based on our address and calling us anyway, out of desperation, knowing our name is different from the debtor's name.  Surely, this is not even allowed legally!  When I called the company, the rep repeatedly denied that they had searched on the address, and tried to claim that our phone number was an old phone number given by the debtor -- absolutely a total lie!!

Mine said they were asking if we were some kind of "Tree Service"....

This call is from a company called NexCheck.  They are a collention agency for companies that receive a returned check (NSF) from people.
