Obviously this is a scam. If they give any money to state troopers, it's less than a penny on the dollar to keep them out of jail if they get sued or investigated. But I think there are too many of these scammers for the authorities to investigate them all.

Today they were some ****** cancer awareness group

I have gotten these calls everyday and getting sick of it. When you try to call the number back it's a recording.

Got same call no message left.  Called at 7:44 p.m.

I received a call from this number and when I answered it a recording came on that said "Please hold while I try to connect you"  I ***g up!  I don't deal with recordings!

No caller ID listed - would not leave message.  Looking at other messages I too agree if this is truly a State Police drive, they should identify themselves and leave a message...otherwise I think this is just another attempted rip-off.

Keeps calling several times a day but never leaves a message.

The guy stated he was with AL Troopers. I told him I am on the National Do Not Call List. I requested he remove me from his call list. He said he would do this. That was last month and today I got a call a***n. How do I report these guys?

I****ume this guy is not a trooper or police. Since he asked for my donation, I told him no, I am a police officer. I already donate my time. He says, "oh, I'm real scared of you police. So, can I count on your $15 donation?" I told him that was a ******** comment and he ***g up.

Claimed to represent the "National Police and Trooper****ociation." Quick Google search doesn't list anything meaningful on the first page. My ***her and uncle are both police officers, so I'm aware that there are many such scams that claim to raise money for firefighters and police officers. If they refuse to send you any information about the****ociation without a promise of donation from you, consider it a big red flag. Previous such phone encounters have resulted in just that.

Called asking for donation. When I said all my money was going to fight ****** cancer because I am a survivor. Caller said "that's great" can I count on you $? Huh? He said "I have a lot of relatives with ****** cancer and some of them even died". ****! I hope this was a fraud.
