I called this number back and they s**** asking for info. When I said you called me she got very rude and ***g like that.
I called this number and someone named Stephanie answered and she wanted me to verify my last 4 of my SS# and my birthdate, when I asked her what it was for she said that she couldn't give me any information until I verified my info. when I refused she got **** with me and told me she had to move on to the next customer and ***g up on me.
I have been getting called from this number, also on my cell phone, and just hearing the recording to "hold for impoortant call from our next available operator". I **** up rather than wait for BS.I'm glad I checked this site to find out what's going on.
These people want personal info and refuse to identify themselves, are a nuisance. Does this fall under the Ga. law that prohibits harrassing phone calls??
Yes - It is a collection company. Just over two years ago I relocated for work and needed a new cell number. The one that was issued must have belonged to a person that had some credit issues. This collection company KEEPS calling EVEN after many requests to stop. They are just about on my last nerve!

Called me today-this is a classic info fishing scheme. they call and ask you to 'confirm' various info (last 4 digits of social, credit #'s to settle outstanding debts, etc.) Don't give them anything. They even have a phony website w/ fake testimonials and (disconected) customer service #'s. Do a search for Amsher.
Sorry for being so rude but that caller irritates meshe just called a***n like 5 mins ago
the same thing on my Cell i dont answer #s that i dont reconize and on top of that if they want me that bad they can call my house phone i thinks its kinda funny on how they try to get info from you and there totaly reading offa paper i entertaned the call once and i find it funny when she said "hi my name is De*** Qualski" and im all like **** why are you calling me whan i have no depts or a job so F--- off and dont ever call me a***n
on my cell it stated Unknown Name
THEY CALL OFF AN ON ASKING FOR SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT LIVE HERE NOR NEVER HAS JUST HAPPENS TO HAVE THE SAME LAST NAME. I INFORM THEM OF SUCH, BUT THEY KEEP CALLING. THERE OTTA BE A LAW A***NST THIS SORT OF ******ITY.
They said my name and address and then asked for my social and dob. I said I refuse to give any info until she identifies who she was with. She refused. She then gave my last 4 digits of my social and wanted D.o.b. I refused. Even if they were a collection agency of some sort, they always identify who they are. She said she would call me tomorrow then. Let her.If it is Amsher they are a collection agency. Obviously not a professional one since they are asking you to divulge personal information over the phone.
I have the same thing happen to me as Amber Johnson. I'm in Texas, and on my Sprint cell phone it shows this 205-313-2588 and the shows the state of Alabama. I just don't pick up.
This number keeps calling my phone once or twice a day. The first call normally being around 10AM and the second around 6PM. After getting tired of receiving so many calls, I finally picked up to see who they were with. A woman with a foreign African accent picked up and would not provide me with her name, who they were with, or any other info. She ***g up after several minutes of questioning.
I am getting these calls as well. All I ask, is who do I owe, and I am told them. How do I find the company that placed my information with them?
the call all the time and ask for some one different everytime.
They have been calling me repeatedly for the past 2 weeks. They say it is a debt from 1998. When I explained the statute of limitation is up, they told me that I made a payment of 100 last year. They cannot give me proof of the payment, nor current contact information for the bank that it supposedly originated from. I explained the bank is no longer in business and they told me it most certainly is. I just got off the phone with Bank of America (which used to be Fleet)and they have no record of such a loan.BEWARE!
Two Words COLLECTION AGENCY
This company called me at 3:55 pm on March 10th. They ***g up.
Don't share any info with these people!! They are schame artist.
someone from this number keeps calling my cell phone and they wont say who they are with or what they want and when they say their name its unintelligible i called number back and got automation which gave no information either
Some company by the name of Amshare declaring that they have "important business" to discuss but won't discuss what the business is.
they are a problem, they keep calling me asking for a michelle watkins, told them 50 times no person by that name. they are rude!
I know it was an Amshare.
Update - Amsher does have a web site, a rather cheesy one at that. Not more then 3 or 4 pages and a sign in page for 'customers'. When I checked the testimonials, none of them checked out as far as the publication mentioned. The phone number listed as the main number was a discontinued number. This has all the indications of a phishing expedition - big time.
Much the same as above. They s****ed out asking for me to confirm my address. When I asked What company the gentleman worked for he replied (rather loudly and rudely) I already told you, Amsher (which was also on the caller id) and tried to go on. When I told him I did not know what Amsher was he quickly replied "I'll put you on a list to have someone else contact you" and ***g up. Apparently Amsher is the name of a collection agency and this might be them. It would look like they get their fee just by proving they have contacted the individual because that is all he seemed to care about. Not getting any business done.
THIS NUMBER CALLED MY CELL PHONE SAID HER NAME WAS JESSICA AND GAVE ME 1-866-732-1626 SO I CALLED IT. TALKED TO SOME BARRY WHITE SOUNDING GUY HE SAID HE WAS WITH AMSHER SAID HE WAS LOOKING FOR JOHNATHAN EDMUNDSON... I HAVE GOTTEN ABOUT 50 OR SO CALLS FROM VARIOUS PEOPLE SINCE I GOT THIS NUMBER 5 MONTHS AGO.... SO JOHNATHAN IF YOU ARE OUT THERE FOR GODS SAKE PAYS YOUR BILLS!!!! OR AT LEAST PAY FOR MY LOST MIMUTES TALKING TO THESE FOLKS!!!!!
I feel good about myself. I let someone called Jessica have it along with her supposed supervisor Randy. I ask "who are you with and what is your name". Randy (I guess thats his real name) with Amshare and I will send your file to the IRS for collect. I laughed at him. You see I work for the IRS and told him I would take care of the matter where I work. He said unless you work for the IRS you can't. I said well I do and if you are who you say you are then you would have know that. He quickly ***g up.
A man name Robert calls me at work telling me he is calling about a debt I owe to a bank and that he would like to settle this today so that it doesnt get turned over to an attorney. I explain to the man that the courts were handling this account and that I would need to call him back when I found out what the problem was, that I would call him after I got off work. He ask what time that would be and I told him 5 and he got angry and told me that he would not be there after 5. I explain to him that I could not talk nor take care of personal business at work. He told me that apparently I didnt understand the importance of this matter, I told him apparently he didnt understand that I was not allowed to talk about this at work and that he was not suppose to be calling me at work. He told me that yes he could call me at work. Then I ask him his name a***n and the name of his company. That is when he really got rude and told me that he was turning it over to the attorneys today and deal with them. At first he told me that he had already told me the name of the company he worked for. So I ask him if he was scared to tell me a***n. He said Im not scared its Amshare and ***g up in my face. I wasnt trying to not work with the guy, I just need the time to find out what was going on because this matter was suppose to have already been taken care of. I could not do it at work. I offered to call him back. What are these peoples problems? Im going to let my bank know what kind of busness they have handled their customers accounts
I also receive a call from this number, however they were looking for a family member. They wouldn't give my any information....what the heck is AmShare??????
Yes****ay(1:49pm CST), this number calls my cell phone (which is also my primary phone line). At first, I didn't want to answer, because I didn't recognize the number...but since the area code of the number matches my main area code, I figured it could be an emergency, etc. I answered, and kept saying "hello?"--no response, but my phone says I was still connected. I ***g up, and called right back, an automated system answers, saying: "A reresentative will be with you shortly, please hold..." I didn't know what to expect, and before I could think any further into it, a guy answers saying: " Ms. _______?"...I'm like: "May I ask who is calling?"...He says: "This is Robert (forgot the last name he gave), with Amshare (sp?), I need to speak with you concerning a VERY serious matter." I say: "Umm, okay?"...He goes on to say: "Before I speak about any personal information over the phone, I need you to confirm the last four digits of your social...04_ _(he didn't say the rest)?" Su****ious, I asked his name a***n, and the company name. He got really upset and rude, saying: "Ms. _____, if you want to resolve this issue, I need you to confirm the last four of your social! I cannot give you anymore information until you confirm!" I asked what TYPE of company he worked for, and he said : "It's a market share and school grant agency."...I told him I didn't feel comfortable giving that type of info over the phone to a stranger...he began to raise his voice even higher, so I told ***g up. This call really creeped me out! I heard about phone scams on Oprah...how a caller will ask you to confirm presonal info, such as your social, but won't really know it themselves, and they rely on the person to be ****** enough to give it to them...I'm only 23, and didn't think I could be a****ential victim of a phone scam!!
