Third time they have called this week. Didn't leave a message

   They keep calling for someone else 

I am underage and have a prepaid cellphone my parents got me for emergencies and this # s****ed calling me this morning!!! My phone is prepaid so I feel they call random #'s just to try and ripe people off asking for personal info..

Same as everyone else. I have perfect credit! I am thinking, I have been sending my resume out of craigslist with my cell phone number.

I got a call on my cell phone today I did not recognize the number so did not answer after all I was working with young children, now I read the comments about debt collection agency, I do not owe a penny I pay our bills when they are due. I do not owe money and never want to. However they are should be told to go away because they have bad information, maybe I will report them as abusing our freedom I will think about it.

They s**** calling at 8:30a.m. and don't stop until 10:30p.m.

Scam alert for Certegy Payment Recovery Services (CPRS). We've had two calls from this company now within the last 4 days, stating that they are "attempting to collect a debt". The Automated male caller leaves a message stating to call them at 1-800-873-5869. The number they call from is listed as 205-752-7762 - CERTEGY PAYMENT.The first thing the automated 800 phone # tells you when you call is "CPRS, a debt collection company. This is an attempt to collect on a debt, and this conversation may be recorded. Please have your control number, your checking account number, and your routing number ready when prompted..."Everything about this smells of a SCAM!First off, we have no debts that are past due or any bounced checks, NONE. We have overdraft protection, plus our bank covers overdrafts without any overdraft protection. I just ran a credit report and found no iden***y theft or anything su****ious with any of our accounts.Second, the first thing the automated voice tells you is that they want you to have your control number, checking account number, routing number, zip code, and full name, ready when prompted.*****O, why don't we just hand over our social security number and date of birth while we're at it, NOT! After attempting to divert to a real person, the automated line will try to connect to an available representative, then the line goes to a BUSY SIGNAL.Third, I've done some research into this company online and have found nothing but complaints and scam reports for them, which is how I found this website. CPRS does not even have a valid website! RED FLAG! Also, when I type in http://www.certegy.com it redirects to http://www.fidelityinfoservices.com ???Fourth, I would****ume that a debt collection agency who has so much information about me would have a real person calling and asking for our specific names and for a specific debt, none of which is stated by the automated teleline. Plus, if they really want to contact us, they should send anything in writing to our home address which is listed on our checks and with our bank.Do yourselves a favor, do not give them any personal information! I plan on blocking the number as I now have digital phone service, which has this feature. I may even report them to the local police.

Who is this company. they call my cell phone 3-4 times a day, just about every day. I don't abswer it, but they must be stopped. This is harrassment!

Yes I have just received my first of I am sure many calls from this Certegy.  They also ***g up on me.  I immediately blocked my number and called back to find an automated service system that ask me for my control number, my checking account #, and my check routing #.They are full of you know what.  I am not turning over any personal info esp. when there is no explanation of what the heck the idiots want.Is it a check service system or a debt collection service?  I am a bit confused on who or what they are.  I did see that they are located in Northpoint AL via the internet!Oh, and I don't know how collectors get different family members phone numbers but my mom has been getting about a half dozen phone calls from a place called Greentree looking for my married sister who owes a debt on a mobile home.  I don't think it is fair to drag family into other families debts!!!Oh, do like I am going to do and have the home phone disconnected and get a data line for the DSL and have cell phones only!!

S****ed receiving calls at 8:00am every morning since New Years Eve from this number. By the time I wake enough to answer the call goes to messaging and they don't leave anything. These scam calls are making my cell phone more of a nuisance than a convenience. I'm tired of the 8 or 9 calls I get from these scammers a week & I'm on the national Do Not Call Registry. It's a joke.

I have received 14 calls in the past two weeks. A lot of people are lucky when they say that they don't get voice messages... I do.

This is ridiculous!!!  Not only is this number calling me at 8am (as well as any time during the day or night)but several times without leaving message.  I don't answer phone calls from numbers I am not familiar with.  The last call left an automated message about collection of a debt.  I don't owe anyone.  And I'm not late on anything.  Since I read the stuff on the internet first, I am not going to call back!!  I have had my number on the "Do Not Call" reg. but telemarketers call anyway!  *** lot of good that is.  You can complain all you want but no one seems to be stopping these pains in the a**es.

I don't know how they got my cell number but they call me all the time.  I have had 2 calls tonight and didn't answer either one.  They never leave messages.  When I have answered the phone, they ask for a person that isn't me and I've told them that, but they continue to call.  I'm just using up the last of my minutes on my old phone, and will s**** using my new phone number shortly.  Hopefully they won't s**** calling on THAT number!

They have called me at least 15 times in the past two weeks. Each time I answer they **** up. I do know they have an automated system that is likely messed up and not transferring the calls to a real person. I called them back and the system asked for a control number, my bank account number, and my bank's routing number. There is no way on God's green earth I'm giving that information out to some random company who can't even leave a message telling me what "debt" I owe them. Smells like a scam to me.

They have called me (as of 9:30AM 7/4) 8 times in the last three days.  they won't tell me who they are calling for or what company they represent. We have over 20 people who work for us and they keep calling and ****ing up.  Today alone at 8:07AM 8:31AM and 8:43AM - so far

I have been getting calls from this number on my cell phone for about 6 weeks now - 34 so far since May 2. They never leave a message, but some days call me every few minutes. Like others, they dont say anything when I pick up. I have never called back.

i have been recieving this number for nearly a week now...they keep caling and i pick up and they keep ****ing up...i picked up once and they were looking for some guy called gary powers...thats definately NOT me and i have no idea who the heck it is...i called back and its a debt collecting agency.

I received 5 calls from this number in one day.  Isn't that harassment. I have excellent credit and I do not owe anything.

Called twice, I answered and they ***g up. Called the number back and got a recording saying that they were investigating a bad debt and needed our checking account number, routing number, etc. I obliged...NOT! Who the heck is this?

They called my cell phone!  How in the***** did they get THAT number?!  They didnt leave a message just that they called early in the morning, when I go to bed at 6am.  If I dont know the number, I do not answer it.

They called early this morning...I picked up and no one answered.  So when I called back it was a debt collection agency...some guy named Fred is giving my phone number to a bunch of different collection agencies instead of his number...Oh well.  Just tell them they have the wrong number!

They called here looking for my son.  He has never had this as his number.  I told them that he did not have this phone number and that it was a wrong number.  Will see if they call back.
