He said to me that his name is Dr. John McCannon and he said he would sell me a Mercedes-Benz for a cheap amount of money because he had "financial problems". Yeah Right. This guy should be ashamed of himself, he is a big time ****.

This **** is working real hard to get bank info from anyone who will fall for his "great" deals on his cars. I hope someone can get to him, I know I'd like to have him in a room for a few minutes myself for trying to scam a very good friend of mine. This site helped ID the POS so that he didn't go through with the deal. Same here. He is trying to sell a 2009 Buick Enclave with all the options at below market in Cornelius NC. Says he works at Seattle Children's Hospital. He goes by Pof.Dr.John McCannon, needs the money to pay for his house, and his number is 206-201-2667. He also wants to use Google Checkout. I hope no one believes his story and gets taken. SCAM...SCAM...SCAM.

I have this same phone number 206-201-2667 selling a 2008 F250 *****.  The guy goes by Prof. Dr. John McCannon and the truck is located in Balch Springs, TX not Bainbridge Island, WA.  Have not spoken to the guy as of yet by phone, but he gave me the VIN number in first email and I asked for more pics than just the 3 pics on the Yahoo Auto website where the truck is located for sale.  This John McCannon sent 15 pics of the truck from the outside to the inside and covered every part of the truck.  My credit union did a CARFAX report and using the VIN number said another person owned the vehicle until Feb. 2010, but could had been sold and not registered if this John McCannon is now the 3rd owner.  This John fellow says he needs to sell the truck for cash to pay up his house payments.  The guy said at first he wants to use Google Checkout and I wrote telling him no about using Google Checkout and about how my credit union will not do Google Checkout at all.

I've been called from a number 206-201-2667, by a guy said his name is James Carlton (who spoke with a Middle East accent) trying to sell me a fully loaded 2009 Lexus RX 350 for $19,999.  It's a great deal isn't it?  He said that he's lost his job and in financial trouble.  He also said that he's owned a small restaurant in WA (but the car is in San Francisco, CA) and at one step to lose it, so he's decided to sell a car to keep the restaurant.   Then he gave me a VIN number, and when I checked with Carfax, it came up with a 2007 Lexus LS460L which registered in Florida.  SCAM!  And he also asked me to go through Yahoo! Autos Protection Program ...?   Has anyone heard about that program?  How to report this guy to FBI?  Thanks.

This DUSHBAG  tried to sell me mercedes-benz on  yahoo cls class 55 amg. sounded to me too good to be true. im glad i found this website otherwise i would go for it. what a s**t. i asked him for vin number to check the history he never gave it to me. he said he owns restaurant in WA but the car is for sale in oregon. and he is choosing between his house and a car so he choose to sell a car. never send me more pics and a vin number.

Same thing here on a Z06 for half of market value. As soon as he called me.. I knew for sure it was a scam. The red flags had been doing up long before that, however.

I received a call from this person conncected to purchasing a vehicle through "Yahoo! Autos Vehicle Purchase Protection Plan". There is no such program offered through Yahoo! He also used the name James Carlton who spoke with a fake Indian/ Arabic sounding accent. The email address that He used was "[email protected]". If you receive any email or phone calls from this person as it relates to purchasing a car....Do Not Entertain This....It is a SCAM.

I have come incontact with a man saying his name is James Carlton, at 206-201-2667 trying to sell me a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 for a ridiculous price, thought I was getting an unbelievable price! But it just seemed fishy...so I search and found this site.... He also gave the the story that his family owned a restaurant business in WA and he is trying to sell the Jeep in Houston, TX. And when I did a carfax report on the car so****ing definatly seemed wrong when the last time it was register it was in OK, and now it's in Texas with only like 100 more miles than it was registered with in OK, what did he do ship it to Texas because the millage he is saying it has doesn't match up! SCAM! And he also asked me to go through Yahoo Auto ProtectionPlan...? never heard of it...???!!!
