This is a slick telemarketing outfit alerting "winners" of a 3 day Mexican Riviera Cruise + $100 gas money.Alert: Did they know your name before calling you? NO!They operate under the name America West Promotional Department or Goodtime Vacations.Why do they require that you have 50K verifiable income? Why do they require a credit card?BECAUSE THIS IS A SCAM - DON'T GET TAKEN !!

I won a free trip + $300 gas too from a fast talking lady. LOL !!!!!I let it go to voicemail & same message as everyone here.Thank God for the internet to look up these numbers first, what an annoyance.

I've gotten this call twice now. Aren't we all a lucky bunch, what with winning flight tickets and gas.I want to call them back and yell at them...

I got the same voicemail about 2 free roundtrip tickets from DFW airport to anywhere in the continental US. I've had a call similar, if not exactly the same as this, within the past year. Either I am extremely good at winning free trips from contests I do not enter, or this is a scam done by one or more "companies". I entered my cell and home number in the national "do not call" registry last summer and it seems like since then I have actually had INCREASED telemarketer/scam calls to my cell. Has anyone else had this problem? Is that "do not call" registry legit, or just a way to get information?

I got this call on my cell phone.  I called the number back from my work phone.  This is a total scam.

She called me today and said I won tickets and gas.  Pressed "1" to speak to operator and it ended call.  Nice.Called back and got similar message with another option to remove you name & # if you leave msg with contact info! What a scam..

Exact same thing left on my voicemail this afternoon!

It sounds exactly like what ya'll are describing. I didn't do what she said, lol.

Same as John 10/29/08, but along with flight from DFW, I was to get $300 worth of free gas. Boy she talks fast

I received the same call today.  So sick of scam calls.

Who was it?

I did not answer and she left exactly the same message as described by John on 10/29/2008.  It also sounded pre-recorded.

Received the same info as already reported, but this time wanted me to leave my name and my spouse's name in order to get a rep to return the call and confirm which sales presentation we would attend.

I did not answer this call.  Message left was a woman claiming to represent Westar Advertising.  She claimed I was the winner of 2 round trip tickets from DFW airport to any location and gave a number to call within 24 hours: 1-866-680-5621. She also claimed (and seemed to be surprised by this) that I was eligible to receive $300 worth of free gas. Of course I looked it up first and found this site telling me it was a scam which I suspected.
