The person using this number now calls himself Scott Sinclair. He is running a vacation rental scam which we foolishly just fell into. Same MO as the other cases reported here. Asked for a western union transfer - we sent the money. I'm sick about it. be careful renting an apartment on craigslist.

Same scam tried today on listing for Boise townhouse on Craigslist. Same ad - same everything.

Can u tell me what happen with this Robert Huert, I relpied to a similar ad on craigslist onky he claims to be overseas he sent me check asking me to deduct my first weeks pay and the balance I'm to use to pay for his furniture delivery to his new apartment, prior to he and his family's arrival on Sept.1st, the check in fact did arrive, I have not cashed it yet, is this what happened to you?

same as yolanda...i too have been given the same email from craigslist...when he actually called me he had an accent and restricted phone number!

Hi, I met this person on a Christian dating website, he seemed to be a nice person and we communicated for awhile.  I even was ****** enough to send him money because i thought he needed help.  I am sorry i did not look up this number earlier.  I am reporting him  to the website as a scammer.  He uses the name Sean J. Farrow and says he has children and his ex wife died. Dont be fooled like i was.

This # is nothing but a scam - does fake rentals all over the US.  Do not rent or wire any $$ to this person.

DO NOT do anything with this person.  He steals money.  I lost money from this person.  Wired money for a rental that doesn't exist.  Don't make the same ****** mistake that I made.

Craigslist Vacation Rental Scam !!!Ad would look like :  $50 / 2br - Apt of Reliaxation Vacation Rental (San Diego)/ (Chicago), etcNames used: john thomas, Briliant Sparman [[email protected]], [email protected] put up pretty pictures of an apartment on Craigslist & price it cheap at $50 or so. You transfer the money to them & they also send an agreement form.Got looted $300 on a vacation rental. We were stranded at San Diego outside the rental vacation address which was locked out & belonged to someone else. I had to sleep in my car with my wife as it was a long weekend with all hotels sold out.This person has an African (not Afro-american) english accent and called me from a Blocked number.Next day morning he added me on Yahoo messenger and asked for more money through Western Union. He said he would give me the apartment key if I transferred another $300 to him to a person in Texas.If you call this number it goes to a fax ma****e message.
