they claim to be debt collecting company. the women on the call claim her name to be Takia who was collecting debt for a car accident that you got involved in. the scary part is she knows my dob, my accident info, and even my SSN. but later I contacted my insurance and the other parties insurance adjuster found out that they didn't pass the file to any debt collecting company. scary good try

They try to get your banking info by contacting you with public records from years ago stating you owe a certain amount of money, but you can settle with them without going to court and they will set you up with a payment plan. Their idea of a settlement is multiple withdrawal attempts of almost 400 dollars.
