...For these boiler-room scam artists time is money, so WASTE THEIR TIME!!! ...When you get an unwanted phone call, play along for a little while [don't let on that you're on to them] then make an excuse to put the phone down for a moment but keep them on the hook (ie; "there's someone at the door, let me get rid of them" or "the kettle's boiling, I'll be right back"). Then simply put the phone down and wait till they hang up. Be creative and make it sound legit so they don't get wise. ...Even if it's only a couple of minutes per call, if everyone did this it would add up to thousands of hours of them paying for overseas phone calls that net them nothing but frustration. ...Feel free to re-post this in other similar forums and/or send it to your fiends and family. The more people who read this, the more effective it will be.

Has called several times saying I have downloaded a virus. I said, "that's funny, since I don't even have the internet". He still continued to tell me I needed to write down this web address to go to. I said, "sure, while I'm at it, do you want my credit card # & social security #?" He was like "excuse me?" I told him I knew it was a scam & to quit calling.

They call even when you ask them not to, on both personal and business cell phones, and have been placed on Do Not Call List. Of course, you cannot call them back to complain as it is not a working in-going line.

Add caller ID service to your land line and then only answer the calls from friends or real businesses. This could eliminate the Spammers if we would all work together and not answer their calls.

I got a call last night from this number, but it was to offer financial aide for schooling obviously over-seas telemarketing. I told the guy I was not interested and please not to call my cell phone anymore. He says " that’s why I want to HELP you if you order we will not call you anymore otherwise we will call you hundreds of time a day", I was shocked and even laughed at the comment. So I said you’re telling me you’re going to "harass me" if I don’t order he says "yes ma'am". I told this guy that it was illegal in the UNITED STATES TO HARRASS PEOPLE" and asked to speak to a supervisor or manager. He then tells me "he is the manager, the owner of the company in fact" my response was "you must be the president of your country too?" he said "yes", after going back and forth for about 4 minutes, he hung up saying we will call you hundreds of time a day. Un-FREAKING believable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Called, said they were from Microsoft Windows & needed to access my computer to fix it. Called my cable company who directed me to McAfee -- neither had heard of this ????? & referred me to a company my cable company used to fix it, at my cost. SCAM -- on Do Not Call list & still get these scammer calls!

I asked for their IP address and they wouldn't give it. then I asked them to give me my IP address and they went through the routine of how it changes all the time when I have a dedicated IP address. They hung up on me. Next call, I'll have my phone company block the number.

I get a weekly unsolicited call from this number on my cell phone, and I am registered with the federal Do Not Call program. I answered once, and no one said anything. When I try to call back, I get a rapid busy signal.

Heavy Asian accent. Claimed my Windows computer was threatened by malware. Hung up when I asked them how they could possibly know this. Claimed that Microsoft told them. When I stopped laughing, I told them my computer is a Mac.
