This is an IRS scam. They called and said that I had a law suit pending with the IRS and that if I did not pay today, they would carry the suit forward. I do have a pending case with the IRS, but it is far from legal litigation as yet. Caller had a strong foreign accent. When I asked for the case number, it did not match. They wanted my use a debit card to pay and would not accept a check "over the phone". They transferred me to the collector of the funds who also had strong foreign accent. I then stated to the caller that this was a scam and ***g up on him. We had received many calls before we responded.

Received a call from this number at 10:36 am ET and did not pick up; Message that the robot, automated voice left was that "the IRS is filing a lawsuit a***nst me and I should call this number for the case file information immediately..." Caller ID said Seattle, WA I don't owe the IRS, so knew it was a scam and since they invoked the federal gov't name in the call, I've alerted FCC about the call sam. Yes****ay I received a similar call at 4:37 pm ET with Caller ID from Starbuck, WA and the number was 509-320-4199. Since I blocked that number, that's probably why they called me on a new number. I'll certainly block that number as well.
