I got the same text this morning. How they got the digits from my credit card is the mystery. I did make an online purchase with it last night where my phone number was entered in the same page.

text message regarding my Wells Fargo card was deactivated. I went to a ***nch to verify - they would never use the card number in a text nor would the Customer Service number be anything other than toll free.

I got a text message from this number telling me that my Wells Fargo card was deactivated. I don't have a WF card. A lot of people online in the Seattle are reporting the same thing. Be warned.
