Leave a CommentI too was scammed.I thought I was purchasing a Ford F150 for $2900. 2002 64,000miles too good to be true . You got it. But both my wife and I believed it to be ligit because of all the paper work that was sent. the sellers name was Kimberly Robinson and she claimed she was moving to Spain where her husband had relocated. That she sold her house and most of her things and needed to get rid of the truck. You know the old saying there's no fool like an old fool. That is correct. We ar both in our seventies and have never accounted anything like this. the money was sent Wester Union to a "e-bay" agent by the name of Francisco Manuel at 645 Griswold St. Detroit MI. I even faxed him for confirmation about Western Union because I did not want to use that. I was going to send a bank check and sent via post office certified. But according to him she had closed all her accounts ( which would have gone with the fact that she was moving). I sincerely hope these people are caught. I doubt that they ever worked an honest day in there lives.Rotting in jail sound good to me.

This person palces different post with Craigsl., Ebay, and car trader type listings. This person palces cars with way below Kelly Blue book Value. his is my story: I was looking on craigslist for cars and I came across this 2003 Nissan ****ma GLE V6, for 2900.00, they hd a great picture of the car inside and out. They stated that the ***le was clean, the car had no scratches, dents or dings. I continued to look at other cars to see what they were selling cars that was similar to this one. The cars were over 8,000.00. This had thinking this is too good to be true. The person who said her name was Susanne Bartlett emailed me baxk about the car and let me know that the car was 2900.00 and she would not negotiate, I thought who would negotiate that. She told me that she had set up an account through Ebay Protection Program in which I was not familiar with, so I read up on the program and it was explained just as she had explained it. She said that I needed send her my information and an agent from Ebay Protecton Program would send me an invoice (throughut the day we contacted one anothther about the car with me asking questions). I sent her my name and address (dangerous mistake) shortly after I was receiving information through my personal email (not Ebay) they had the Ebay logo all throughout the email, they even had a link were you could chat right then with an agent. I did that too. The agent had me to confirm the ID number in which they had given me in my invoice, they also had me to confirm the sellers name. I told them I was check to see if this was a legit transaction. The representative Richard told me that they have all of Susan's information in there system and that when sending my money via western union to Ebay Protection Program they would hold my money until I hav had 5 days to inspect the card and decide if I want the car. I had also found an 2004 Acura TL with low miles loaded and it was priced a 2,400.00. When I wnet back to sow my boyfriend the car on Craigslist it had been flagged. I had sent this person a message too and they replied back as Sgt. Kent Taylor and his directions for selling his car was just as the Nissan ****ma. I continued to say this is all too good to be true. He stated that he was in th US army and that he hd been deployed, his wife was pregnant with the 4th child and that he needed too get as much money as he could to leave for her. He went through this whole spill. He even had numbers to go with Sgt Kent Taylor 29493DS to make it look Legit. The entire time my boyfriend was like this is good we can resell the cars and make money. But I s****ed to really dig deep. I googled Ebay Protection Scams and lots of information came up you would nnot believe. I began ready and the stories were similar to mine. Some girl lost 7,000.00 dollars trying to purchase 2 cars, now she has a loan to pay off. Its crazy. For anyone dealing with Ebay they state that if the email is from them it will be in your Ebay account not your ***rsonal address, also Ebay will place your user nme at the top of everythingthing they send to you. They do not have a protection program that ships cars through DAS and handle it through Western Union. To make a long story short I investigated before making the mistake and sending money, but unfortunately everybody's stry did not end like ths. From now on I will listen to my gut feeling telling me if it is too good to be true it probably is. About this number Susanne Barlette had this number included in her email and when I went to call it it just rang and rand no voicemail. Reading other complaints these scammers use female name or innocent seeming names to make there scam mor believable. Do not purchase anything on line if they ask you to send it Via Email, Money gram, etc., the scammers are at the other end to receive, kiss your money gooodbye. A compute hacker can make anything on the computer look njust as they want this is what I continuosly told my boyfriend when I was feeling skeptical, and I sound it to be true sooner than lter. REMEMBER: WHE I DOUBT THROW IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
