Called me saying my Social Security number had been compromised in the state of Texas. They verified my name and address, but then asked me for my Social Security number and Date of Birth, that’s when I told them I was recording this call and that I was law enforcement and did not feel comfortable giving that information over the phone and they immediately ***g up on me.

They tell your that your social security benefits are being suspended. Total scam. I don’t even get socia security. Someone needs to stop this nonsense!!! Elderly people would get scammed by this!

Just want to mention that this caller begins talking about the "reason" for the call without confirming the name of the person answering. Any legitimate business caller realizes that a phone may be answered by a person other that the one with whom they have business.

Same experience as the others. Said they are calling regarding your ssn number but then ***g up. Tried calling back but they wouldn't answer.

I am reporting this number to the Federal Trade Commission. They can proscute these ****s and shut them down. Please everyone report this number.

Did not pick up but returned call from another phone twice. Told me so****ing was wrong with my SS#. When I asked what was wrong, they mumbled so****ing about SS# then ***g ***g up. Definitely not calling from Maine! I called back third time just to harass them and they won't pick up phone anymore.

This was a robot spam variation on the IRS scam. Call says your SSN is about to be put on hold and****ets frozen. You are supposed to push 1 to speak to the "Officer in Charge of your case."

Calls me about every 2 weeks says that there are serious accusations a***nst me and that I need to call back before the charges are proceeded and I've been getting the same call for about 2 years now

They were posing as a Social Security Administration. First was automated voice asking to press 1. I did just to see what's going to happen. Female voice with the strong Indian accent asked what I wanted. I asked her what they wanted from me as they called me. She said she needed my SS number to identify me. SSA doesn't call people just like that. So it's a fraud. Be aware about them.
