calling to talk to my husband. I said he's not available can I take message? No, then I said please don't call back.Caller called business line. He said who are you? Even thou I am the owner/wife, I said the person screening the calls. He did say he was calling to Thank my husband for donations. I said thank you for the call, but at this time we won't be doing any donations. We would like to get caught up on others obligations. Then the **** on the phone said: why is my business doing terrible/bad. I said "that isn't what I said" I told you we won't be doing any donations this year! He s****ed in on me about many things. Wouldn't take no as no! Pure Harassment! I said a few kind words, not swear words and to be taken off the list! He said who are you to decide, I said the owner and you are harassing me! All he wanted to do is fight with me!I said let me regurgitate what I just said STOP CALLING AND LEAVE MY BUSINESS ALONE! TAKE ME OFF THE CALL LIST! He wasn't happy that I used the word regurgitate, that he used it right back. I said good bye and have a nice day! He continued to yell and I ***g up.Please! Why do we have people like that working for what should be a good cause. That is if they would actually get the money.

The Idaho State Police does not make calls soliciting donations.HOWEVER, The Idaho State Police****ociation, an****ociation whose members are Idaho State Police Troopers and employees, does contract with Civic Development Group (CDG) to make fundraising calls.You can go to www.ispaonline.org to see the****ociation's official website.  If you click on "Fund Raising" on the left menu, it takes you to a page with a sample pledge kit.  It also lists a toll free telephone number you can call to verify if the call actually originated from them.FYI ... I am the webmaster of ispaonline.org.

I have been getting this call alot, I finally picked up,  Sounds like a scam, I called the police and gave them the number, hopefully this will help in ending it!!!

Got a couple calls from this caller.  I did a *69 the first time and the second time my husband answered.  A man on the other end asked for me, by my first name.  My husband asked whom it was that was calling (he's so nosey you know) and he said the man snickered a sort of nasty laugh and then ***g up.  We've been married 33 years, so if I had a boyfriend, I think my husband would have been proud! hehehe  But we don't know who it is either.  I tried calling my phone company for****istance and all they want to do is to charge me money to block the call or to trace it.  I'm not that interested.  I do have a very loud horn however.  The next time he calls, he will get an ear full!  What ****s.

This number has been on my caller ID for the last 4-5 days, so I finally decided to look it up.  It shows as a phone number in Star, ID, but no other info.  Thanks for all the previous info.

I just got a call from 208-286-2879 - when you try to call back you get Idaho State Trooper donations voice mail.  Dont know if this is a scam or not, but seems fishy.

Received a call from this number as well from unknown, but did not answer.  I'm glad this posting board is up and running.

I too received this call but didn't answer.  I am always reluctant to answer when it says unknown--after reading these posts--glad I didn't!!!

This was a call received by my adult daughter in Idaho. After a line of meaningless chatter, the caller said he was calling "on behalf of the Idaho State Troopers", upon which my daughter said she didn't parti****te in phone solicitations and ended the call.  We are thinking that was not a call authorized by the Idaho State Police.  Does anyone know anything more about calls from this number?
