Marty Godfrey worked for me at my business in Emmett Idaho. We met several years ago at the Boise El Kora Shrine, we were both Shriners. Marty gave me the story of his ex wife trying to keep him from having his kid and needed to borrow some money for an attorney. I thought we had strong trust between us, but we didn't. I became sick and was down with a fever for many days when I woke to see Marty saying he was going to help me out and pay back the money he owed me. Long story short, he helped himself. Somehow he activated my ATM card that was in the safe and he used the ATM card to cash advance over 60,000.00 and on top of that, the wrote checks for cash forging my name and cashing them at my local bank "Bank of the Cascades": in Emmett. He was not a signer on my account, but they allowed him to do a lot without my knowledge, they even had him as the contact person for the fraud dept to call when t hey saw the ATM charges coming in. In all, Marty stole roughly $150.000.00 from me. If you can add any information on what he stole from you or anything you can think of, I would really appreciate the help. The Gem County Sherrif Dept has been no help. I am barely holding the business above ground a year now after Marty left, and Sgt Jason McIntosh thinks that I was helping marty drain my business of cash. I am not sure who to turn too with law enforcement, But I have recieved no help locally. I have even called the FBI, but Marty is so smooth, he doesn't have anything in his name, so he looks clean. I have had a great business since 2001 employing people and serving some great customers. Marty is a sociopath with no care for others. I am checking on a previous friend who become a date. He is always very evasive about is background, last name, address etc. he said he use to work for the DEA.
