I know exactly how they get your phone number because I use to work for a telemarketer, don't get mad at me, it was just a job.  Anyway, they have a computer that searches all the phone books that is on the internet.  It is all automated, they type in the area they want the computer to search for phone numbers and then a computer calls your number and sends out an automated message and that is how it is done.  If your phone number is is the phone book, listed, then they can get your phone number.  If you have it unlisted, they won't have.  Also, don't ever fill out any forms in malls where they are giving so****ing away because that is how they get your phone number and email address as well.  Not only do you have to put your phone number on the national do not call regitry, you also have to have them put your phone number on their do not call list as well or they will continue calling you because they all have their own individual do not call lists.  Do not **** up on them because they will just continue calling you.  Do you also know that it is considered harrassment and you can turn them in.
