I got a call on my cellphone from this number yes****ay 4/23/08 3:05pm. I've only had this cellphone number for a week. My 14 year old daughter got a call from the same number. I didn't answer since I didn't recognize it. When I looked up the number I found this page.Thanks.
get calls from these people all the time using different ph. #'s which are really just ***** fronts for their abusive telemarketing schemes . these phones were either disconnected or unused #'s so we don't see who is really calling us , slick way of tricking us to answer phone and even if you don't get a person on the line they make a note of fact that someone is listening and will try a***n when they have a available agent to rip you off.I was told that on one of their other #'s that someone found out they are operating out of Florida and are raking in the money.if anyone knows more pls post it and maybe we can get a lynch party going .
Just got a call from this # as well. In the past several weeks, I've also received calls from many other random numbers with the same dumb "Your car warranty is about to expire" message. Does anyone know how to stop this nonsense?
I too just received a phone call from this. i did not answer as I do not answer cell phone to an unrecognized number. Unfortunately, someone will answer and give out their information. I hope that if you are reading all these posts you too did not give out this information, otherwise, beware...you have been scammed!
The number is being routed through a number in the US but it's not here in the US. These people want our money pure and simple. It's the same as the Spanish Lottery winner emails or the UN making a mistake and wanting to give me millions of dollars. They all ****. I hope no one gets ****ed in!
received the call from 208-337-5723 at 1202 EST on 4/23/08. I just ***g up. My number is a 757 (******ia Beach, VA) number. This guy is busy today.
I got a call today at 12:17, didn't pick up because i've been getting a lot of unknown numbers lately. so i decided to look it up and found this forum. It ****s how they've been calling cell phones. Thanks for all the info and help!
Incoming call from this number -- I picked up and they ***g up. I think when I gave my standard greeting identifying my employer, they recognized it as a business number and quickly lost interest. I went to Google, typed the number into the search field, and see that the number belongs to an "A. Kershaw" somewhere in Idaho.
OK... I pressed 1 as I have been getting this from other phone numbers as well and it hooked me up to a guy who sounded Jamaican. I said that I didn't have a car and that they call me 4 times a day. I have a car, but I know that they are probably in West Africa trying to steel our information. This seemed to work and he actually apologized. I think this is the best way rather than to yell at them. Just say you don't have a car. I get 1000 emails a day that I have won so****ing. THis is ridiculous!
I just received the same call from 208-337-5723. I don't own a car but my husband does so just for giggles I pressed 1 to speak with someone. After being on hold for a couple of mins, He came on the line and said*****o...Would you like to extend your warrenty. I respond with no, I would like to know why you are calling me?..He ***g up. I then called my husband and he found this site for you guys.... www.stopjunkcalls.com/227.htmWe are not going to take any legal action but you can if you want. Go to this site and read the laws. You should never recieve telemarketing calls on your cell phone. I hope this helps and don't get *****ed. if you want to report this go to http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints_tcpa.htmlI will be reporting this.STOP THE JUNK CALLS
Received at 4:12 PM EST on 4/22/08. Did not answer, and no message was left, It appears someone is running a shady side business.
Was curious to see who called me from this # so i looked it up and found this page...I answered the phone but they didnt say anything and ***g up!
Same thing -- call to my cell regarding expiring auto warranty. I knew it was bogus, but perhaps it is a coincidence that I actually did have a factory warranty expire this month (Audi, if it makes a difference)... Press 1 to talk to a rep, 2 to "remove from the follow up list". I pressed 1 hoping to give someone a piece of my mind but it just disconnected my call. Calling back immediately gave a "this number has been disconnected" message.
Same as everyone else, have tried to press 9 several times and keep getting calls about "Final" notice to renew my factory warranty on a 14 year old car.
Received another "Aauto warranty is about to expire. Press 1 to talk to a representative or press 9 to take you off this list. NOTHING WORKS TRIED TO CALL BACK AS BEFORE AND AS STATED ABOVE ALL YOU GET IS A RAPID BUSY SIGNAL.Caller ID: UnknownCaller: Unknown
Just got a call from this number on my cell phone. It was an automated message saying my auto warranty was about to expire. It said to press 1 to speak to a representative. I did it since I knew my car didn't have a warranty about to expire so was curious who this was. The person said they needed to ask me a few questions. They first asked me the year, make and model of my car. I said that they should have this information since they called me. He responded he is just a call operator and doesn't have any info. I told him I had a 1969 year vehicle. He then said that I don't qualify and he would remove me from their list and ***g up.
This number called my cell phone, no message was left. I discovered what the prior poster stated.
Received another "Auto warranty is about to expire. Press # to delete your number or press # to speak with a representative". When you call the number back, you get a rapid busy signal. I traced the number to Adrian Kershaw in Homedale, ID. He has another phone # 208-337-6177, which, when called, you also get the rapid busy signal.
